China is a country where many ethnic groups live in harmony.In the minority areas,the work of college students has a practical need for cultural diversity in terms of content and form.At present,the work of college students is not only to carry out ideological and political education for students,nor to manage students' work affairs.It is more concerned with the capacity building of students and the potential for socialist successors in the new era.This paper intends to make an exploratory study on the status quo of college students' work in the minority areas and the students' actual needs,and to explore the system,ideas and methods of the university students' social work embedded in the national minority colleges and universities,and try to innovate the work of college students in the national minority areas in the new era.This study takes the undergraduate students of N colleges as the research object,the specific content of the work of college students in ethnic areas,summarizes the development model,focuses on the connotation and tradition of college students' work,and conducts interviews and questionnaires on the status quo and the actual needs and problems of students.The analysis further points out the feasibility and potential of the school social work embedded in the work of college students in ethnic areas.On this basis,it analyzes the respective advantages and fits between the school social work and the college students' work in the minority areas,and based on the social ecological theory and the advantage perspective theory,builds the embedded model with the concept of “embedding”,and the social work concept and value.The method is embedded in the work of college students in ethnic areas,paying attention to “people in the situation” in the work of college students in ethnic areas,and exerting the subjectivity,enthusiasm and innovation of students to improve the education level and service level of college students in ethnic areas..The thesis mainly focuses on the study of school social work embedded in the work of college students in ethnic areas.Through reviewing a large amount of literature and materials,and carrying out field investigations,semi-structured interviews were conducted among 20 undergraduates in N colleges.Based on the interviews,questionnaires for college students' needs were designed.The survey data were analyzed and further demonstrations were made.The basic situation of the needs of students in different grades and the needs of students of different nationalities is used.The ideas and methods embedded in the social work of schools are used to complement the development of college students in contemporary ethnic areas.Specifically,this article consists of an introduction,three main contents,and a conclusion.The introduction includes the research background,research significance,research summary,concept definition,theoretical support,research methods and research ideas.The first chapter mainly expounds the analysis of the status quo of college students' work in ethnic areas.The second chapter mainly analyzes the needs of college students in contemporary ethnic areas and the efficiency of students' work.The third chapter makes an exploratory study on the model of college students' work embedded in school social work in ethnic areas..
