A Study On The Cultivation Strategies Of Students' Leadership In Higher Vocational Colleges In Guangxi

Leadership is a comprehensive ability.Leadership can enhance individual competitiveness,improve team(enterprise)efficiency and promote social reform.Leadership researchers at home and abroad basically agree with the fact that leadership can be cultivated;leadership is not the exclusive ability of leaders.Since the 1980 s and 1990 s,leadership education in American colleges and universities has developed vigorously.At present,there are three main forms of leadership training organization for American College students: institutionalized training programs,Leadership Certificate exams and extracurricular activities.Our country pays attention to the cultivation of leadership relatively late.At present,it mainly focuses on the reference study of foreign leadership education,the theoretical exploration of leadership localization and the empirical research on the cultivation of University Students' leadership.In China,the cultivation of University Students' leadership mainly focuses on the undergraduate and above students,while the research on the cultivation of leadership of Higher Vocational and technical college students is rare.Less.The number of students enrolled in Higher Vocational Colleges in China is equal to that of undergraduate education.Students in higher vocational colleges are also an important component of the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.Higher vocational colleges should not only emphasize vocational and technical education(professional education),but also pay attention to general education.This paper holds that the cultivation of University Students' leadership should be an important part of general education.Therefore,the cultivation of students' leadership in higher vocational colleges should be taken seriously.Higher vocational colleges are an important part of higher education in China,so the meaning of student leadership mentioned in this paper is consistent with that of College students.On the basis of literature analysis and understanding,this paper defines the connotation of college students' leadership: the combination of various abilities that college students show in their study,work(school activities,social practice),life to attract and influence others to achieve specific goals(positive and positive goals).It also considers that the leadership of college students consists of six dimensions: self-awareness,self-management,enterprising spirit,interpersonal relationship,decision-making executive ability and leadership consciousness.Among them,the three dimensions of self-awareness,self-management ability and enterprising spirit are at the first level of college students' leadership.They are also the most basic leadership and the easiest ability to improve.The second level of competence is interpersonal competence.At the top level of University Students' leadership is decision-making execution and leadership consciousness,which are also the two most difficult dimensions to improve.Through questionnaires and interviews,this paper investigates and analyses the current situation of students' leadership in Higher Vocational Colleges in Guangxi.The characteristics of students' leadership in Higher Vocational Colleges in Guangxi are concluded as follows: Generally speaking,students in Higher Vocational Colleges in Guangxi are aggressive and have strong interpersonal communication ability,but weak in leadership consciousness,self-management and decision-making execution.Through further analysis of the influencing factors of leadership,this paper summarizes five outstanding characteristics of the current situation of students' leadership in Higher Vocational Colleges in Guangxi: first,the improvement of leadership in school is not obvious.The data show that the overall level of leadership of sophomores is slightly lower than that of freshmen.Secondly,the leadership level of student cadres is obviously better than that of ordinary students.From six dimensions,the level of student cadres' leadership is higher than that of ordinary students,and is obviously higher in five dimensions.Thirdly,the students lack self-management ability.As the most basic ability dimension of college students' leadership,it is also the basis of College Students' professional ability and other abilities,and lacks self-management ability.Fourth,the lack of leadership consciousness and decision-making execution.Unexpectedly,the vast majority of domestic institutions of higher learning do not offer special leadership training courses,and the lack of leadership awareness and decision-making execution is not unexpected.Fifth,students have a strong willingness to improve leadership.College students are willing to improve their leadership,which is in sharp contrast to the ignorance of most colleges and universities.This paper puts forward five strategies for cultivating students' leadership.They are to establish the important position of the cultivation of students' leadership in Higher Vocational colleges,to strengthen the theoretical research of students' leadership in Higher Vocational colleges,to construct the professional teacher team and curriculum system of leadership cultivation,and carry out targeted practical activities and improve the coverage of activities.Only universities attach importance to it can develop large-scale leadership training.Student leadership training is a novel,complex and difficult subject.It needs a professional teaching staff,a scientific curriculum system,practical courses,inter-school exchanges,cooperation with enterprises.This paper focuses on the establishment of a three-part leadership training team of professional teachers,namely,full-time teachers in the leadership of the Department of Management,students and workers,teaching management team.Only when these three forces are twisted into one rope can we do a good job in the project of cultivating leadership.At the same time,this paper also puts forward the training curriculum system,which includes five compulsory courses for leadership in freshmen and sophomores.Ensuring theoretical learning and participating in practical activities is the most important part of the cultivation of students' leadership.Only by providing the necessary human and material resources can we do a good job in this undertaking.and joint efforts to improve the leadership of students in Guangxi higher vocational colleges.
