In order to realize the strategic goal of coordinated urban and rural development and socialist new rural construction, guiding college graduates to return to their hometowns to find jobs is an effective way to solve the lack of the main body of new rural construction, promote the accelerated flow of talents, and increase the employment rate of graduates.Since many college students go out from the countryside, they know more about the specific conditions of the rural areas. In the city, employment is more difficult for them than college students who grew up in the city.At this time, they can use these advantages to attract them go back to their hometowns to find jobs.In addition, college students who grew up in rural areas are not only familiar with the rural environment, but also more adaptable to the rural environment. Therefore, letting rural college students return to their hometowns to find jobs can coordinate the development of urban and rural areas and accelerate the process of rural construction. In recent years, relevant departments have issued a number of documents to guide the return of college students to work in the hometown, but the results have been minimal.Because the wage conditions and living conditions in the city are relatively good, college graduates are still staying in the better-developing big cities when looking for work, and the number of people who voluntarily return to their hometown to work is still a minority. At present, the two problems that the relevant departments urgently need to solve are that it is difficult to get jobs for rural college students and there are not available talents for rural construction. How to better guide the return of rural college students go back to their hometowns to get jobs, serving the new rural construction has become a hot issue that has been widely concerned and resolved by all walks of life.On the basis of psychology-related theories, using questionnaires and psychological experiment methods, from the perspective of psychology, this paper explores the impact of nostalgia on the return to their hometowns of rural college students to employment. The specific research work is as follows:?1?Firstly,through the literature analysis,in-depth interview and expert assessment methods, the initial scale of the rural college students'returning back to their hometowns to get employment tendency questionnaire was established. Then 784 questionnaires were collected and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were analyzed to determine the final questionnaire is a questionnaire with good psychometric criteria;?2?Experiment 1 introduced the nostalgic operation of Wildschut's et al method?2006?[1].The subjects were randomly divided into nostalgic group and control group, and different instructions were given to guide the subjects to different degrees of nostalgia.Exploring the differences in the tendency of students to return to their hometowns under different emotional conditions. The results of the study found that for the nostalgic operation, the nostalgic group's nostalgic feeling was significantly higher than that of the control group, while the nostalgic group's returning to their hometowns to get employment tendency score was also significantly higher than the control group, indicating that the more nostalgic feelings the subjects had,the higher the tendency of returning to their hometowns to get employment, the nostalgia can affect the tendency of rural graduates'tendency of returning to their hometowns to get employment;?3?Previous studies have found that when people generate nostalgic feelings, they tend to provoke people's positive emotions. In order to determine that nostalgic emotions rather than positive emotions have made rural college students have a tendency to returnback to their hometowns to find jobs, therefore, experiment 2 joined the lucky event group to make a distinction. The subjects were randomly divided into a nostalgic group,a lucky event group, and a control group, and the nostalgic operation was as in Experiment1.The results of the study were found to be effective for nostalgic operations. The nostalgic scores of the nostalgic group were significantly higher than those of the lucky event group and the control group, while the nostalgia scores of the lucky event group and the control group were not significantly different;the positive emotion scores of the lucky event group and the nostalgic group were significantly higher than the control group, but the lucky event group and the nostalgic group were not significantly different;the nostalgic group's returning back to hometowns to get employment tendency score was significantly higher than the lucky event group and the control group, while the lucky event group's and control group's has no significant differences. Therefore,it is said that nostalgic emotions, rather than positive emotions, can affect the rural gradutes'tendency of returning back to hometown to get jobs;?4?Experiment 3 explores the role of identity continuity in the nostalgia and the rural gradutes'tendency of returning back to hometown to get jobs. The subjects were randomly assigned to one of the four conditions in the experiment of 2?nostalgia:low or high?×2?identity continuity:low or high?,and different degrees of nostalgic emotion and identity continuity perception were operated by experimental means. The results of the study found that for the nostalgic operation was successful, and independent of the identity continuity perception operation, the nostalgic scores of the high nostalgic group were significantly higher than the low nostalgic group, and the scores of identity continuity perception were not significantly different;the operation of identity continuity perception was also successful, and independent of nostalgic operations, the identity continuity perception scores of the high identity continuity group were significantly higher than the low identity continuity, while the nostalgic scores were not significantly different; The main effects of nostalgia and identity continuity on the rural gradutes'tendency of returning back to hometown to get jobs are not significant, but the effect of interaction is significant. This can indicate that identity continuity can play a role in regulating the effects of nostalgia and the rural gradutes'tendency of returning back to hometown to get jobs. Finally, based on the summary of the results of the three experiments, this study, combined with the current relevant data, provides reasonable methods to promote the return back to hometowns to get jobs'rate of college graduates, hoping to provide reference for the rapid development of urban and rural areas and the rural revitalization.
