As an important scientific method,the model method can make students accept the influence of scientific method teaching for a long time,and play an important role in cultivating students' scientific consciousness and subject literacy.And it also plays an important role in improving the efficiency of chemistry classroom.The chemistry knowledge system in High school is huge and complex,so there will be great confusion for students in mastering and understanding,so it is difficult to form a systematic,intuitive and simplified knowledge network.The model method is to directly express the complex and abstract chemical knowledge by abstraction,analogy,generalization and other scientific methods.It can help students to master and understand the principles of chemical knowledge.At present,the teaching application of model method in chemistry teaching in most senior middle schools in our country is still lacking,and the understanding of model method between teachers and students is still in a relatively one-sided and superficial level.Therefore,in order to promote the teaching application of the model method,enhance the students' understanding of model method and improve the teaching effect,it is necessary to carry out further research on the application of the model method in chemistry teaching in senior middle school.This study uses three research methods: literature method,investigation method and educational experiment method to carry out the research.Firstly,it is to read a large number of literature on the application of model method in chemistry teaching,and get the relevant ideas of this study.Secondly,through the design of "Research on Application of Model Method in Chemistry Teaching in High School" questionnaire,it surveys 100 senior middle school students on the understanding of the model,the model method and the application status.And students are divided into experimental class and traditional class.Model method teaching and traditional method teaching are carried out in experimental class and traditional class,respectively.After the experiment,through the analysis and comparison of the experimental data,and drawn the conclusion.The results show that:(1)the students do not know enough about the basic meaning of the model,and there are one-sidedness and limitations in the understanding of chemical model,and most students' understanding of chemical model stays in the level of physical model;(2)the students' understanding of the model method is not deep,they can not accurately judge whether some methods used in chemistry learning are model methods;(3)the application of model methods in chemistry learning and chemistry teaching is still relatively few;(4)students have high expectation for the teaching application of model method.The research on teaching practice shows that:(1)the model method teaching is helpful to improve the actual teaching effect of chemistry;(2)the application of model method teaching can cultivate students' core literacy of "model cognition".
