Study On Parent Participation In Management Strategy Of Private Kindergarten

At present,the Party and the State are paying high attention to the development of preschool education.Both the quantity of kindergartens and children in kindergartens has historic improvement,which has well met the needs of the general public for early childhood education.Among them,private kindergartens have become the main growth point of this improvement.The rapidly expanding of private kindergartens has met the educational needs to some extent;however,the quality of them is alarming.So how to play the important role of parents in the quality assurance of private kindergartens is a subject worth studying.Based on this,we take the parents who participate in the management of private kindergartens as our research object,hoping to find out the existing problems in the participation of parents in the management of private kindergartens in China,and explore the reasons behind them,so as to provide theoretical support for improving the quality of education in private kindergartens and promoting the improvement of preschool education in China.This paper is divided into four parts.In Part1,the background,research status,research methods and the significance of research are introduced.They are elucidated mainly through the concept of parents' participation in the management of private kindergartens,the contents,the necessity and the feasibility of it.In Part II,three private kindergartens in Changchun city are taken as the objects of case study,and data is collected through questionnaires,interviews and other methods.Finally,by analyzing the data,we have found out some problems in private kindergartens at present,for example,parents' willingness to participate in kindergarten management is not high;it is unreasonable for parents to participate in the management of kindergartens;the level of parents' participation in kindergarten management is relatively low;the way of parents' participation is simplex;the effect of their participation is unsatisfactory,etc.In Part III,the reasons for the problems in the management of private kindergartens are analyzed from three aspects: parents themselves,kindergartens and the society.In Part IV,solutions to the current problems of parents ' management in private kindergarten are searched and five specific suggestions are put forward.Firstly,it is necessary to clarify the concept of parents-involved management and form the consensus of it.Secondly,we should pay attention to the needs of parents to participation in the management of the kindergarten,and broaden the subjects of participation actively.Thirdly,we should seize the key to the management of parents' participation in the kindergarten and deepen the content.Fourthly,we should create new approaches for the parents to participate in the management of kindergarten,according to their requirements,and meanwhile,increase the ways for theirparticipation.The last is to improve the parent-participation system,in order to ensure the effect of their participation.
