With the development of education,there are higher requirements and challenges for teaching methods and means.Mind mapping is a powerful thinking tool.According to the theory of brain science,through the combination of words and images,editing and color,it can mobilize the whole brain to carry out activities,so that the potential of the brain can be brought into play.In recent years,mind mapping teaching catering to the new curriculum standards has been favored by all educators.The application of mind mapping in practical teaching process can cultivate students' thinking ability and improve classroom teaching effect.This paper first consults a large number of documents to summarize the application of mind mapping in Chemistry Teaching in middle schools,expounds the theoretical basis and concept of mind mapping,and carries out interviews and questionnaires with teachers and students of Mongolian junior middle schools to understand the situation and feasibility of applying mind mapping in chemistry review teaching in Mongolian junior middle schools.Thirdly,based on the seven chapters of "air around us","carbon and carbon oxides","fuel and its utilization","solution","acid and alkali","metal and metal materials" and "chemistry and life" in the chemistry teaching content of junior middle school,a mind map with Mongolian characteristics was designed and applied to review teaching.There are two mind maps for the content of "air around us",including air mind map and oxygen mind map;There are two mind maps for the content of "carbon and carbon oxides",including one for carbon oxides and one for carbon elements;There are also two mind maps for the content of "fuel and its utilization",including combustion and fossil fuel;There are also three mind maps for the content of "solution",including the saturated solution mind map,the solution mind map and the solution composition mind map;There is also a mind map for the content of "acid and alkali",including the mind map for acid and alkali;There are also two mind maps for the content of "metal and metal materials",including one for the physical properties of metals and the other for metals;There are also two mind maps for chemistry and life,including nutrients for the human body.Finally,the content of "the air around us" is selected to teach the actual review lesson to the students of Class 3 and 3 of Tianshan Mongolian Middle School,and the teaching effect is analyzed,and good teaching effect is obtained.
