With the rapid development of the practice-oriented social work profession in China,and the good development background of social work talent team and social work professional education,the concept of service learning is introduced into the social work master’s degree internship.MSW internship training requirements are of great significance to improving the quality of social work master’s internship,broadening the scope of social work internship,improving the recognition of social work,and exploring a localized internship model.At the same time,for social work interns,professional reflection on the concept of service learning,can grow in the internship process to enhance professional identity,and also help to provide higher quality and efficient services for the service objects,and cultivate outstanding talents for social work.Based on the datas of participatory observation and in-depth interviews,the article takes the service time as the main line and starts from the concept of service learning to examine in detail the whole process of G University’s MSW disability service internship project,and summarizes and reflects on its service effectiveness.The study found that,in contrast to the service learning concept,G University MSW disability service internship has both positive results and certain deficiencies.The positive results are embodied in the optimization of the intern learning mode,the enhancement of reflective awareness,the improvement of professionalism of service methods and the acquisition of personal resources.The shortcomings are mainlyhighlighted in the two-way communicational obstacle,limited internship benefits,imperfect procedure internships,etc.aspect.The limited effectiveness of M University’s MSW disability service internship is due to the lack of part of the service learning concept,the flaws in the disability service internship program itself,the weak comprehensive ability of the organization,and the lack of professional competence of the internship team.In response to the above problems,the article puts forward specific improvement measures.First,increase the concept of service learning by promoting the application of service learning concepts in social work internships,motivating students to participate in service learning,and building service learning platforms.Secondly,through the training of service projects,the establishment of an internships management system,the cultivation of institutional supervision,and the improvement of internal interaction mechanisms to enhance the organization’s practical level.Third,improve the management of service projects by regularing project service sites,designing project plans that meet actual needs,enhancing communication between project teams,and strengthening supervision of service projects.Finally,improve the practical ability of interns by cultivating seed students,establishing good communication between interns and institutions,and improving their practical skills.
