The Thousand characters course of civilians in Southwest Border region(hereinafter referred to as "Thousand characters Class")is an important literacy textbook in southwest China during the period of the Republic of China,and it plays an important role."Thousand character course" is an early model of literacy teaching materials and Chinese school-based teaching materials in the contemporary era.The study of its selection and compilation plays an important role in the compilation of teaching materials.From ancient times to the present,Chinese educators have been studying literacy education.In the civilian education movement,the peace education movement in Shimenkan area can achieve such great achievements.Literacy education is at the most basic stage in students' educational career,only literacy education is carried out well in the subsequent Chinese teaching.And other subjects in the study can be carried out normally;School-based textbook,as a supplementary textbook of unified teaching material,is a teaching material compiled by the school according to the actual situation of the school for the students of the school.The compilation of "Thousand characters course" is of great significance to the compilation of Chinese school-based teaching materials.This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first chapter mainly discusses the background and purpose of the civilian education movement in Shimenkan area according to the historical development,and analyzes the important role of "Thousand words course" in this movement,focusing on the editor Zhu Huanzhang.His educational thoughts and educational achievements are analyzed.The second chapter aims to probe into the new characters of "Thousand words course",which is the most important part of the literacy education and the basic content that students need to master after completing the "Thousand-character Class".Only after knowing enough new words students can we carry on the follow-up study,carry on the statistical analysis to the new characters in the Thousand words Class,and carry on the classification analysis research according to the word quantity and the word type,This paper mainly studies the monosyllabic characters and the super-strong word-building characters in the new characters of Thousand-character Class.The third chapter mainly expounds the selection of "Thousand words course",classifies the selected articles according to the subject matter and genre,and divides the selected articles into "life themes","biographies","citizen party justice" and "story morality" according to the subject matter."other" five categories,according to the genre of selected articles and literature analysis,and the important part of the "Thousand words course",that is,the selection of the text to focus on the analysis,In the process of analysis,the main characteristics of the selected language are the simple and natural expression of life and the rich rhetorical devices in the selection.The use of rhetorical devices in the reading of the article can stimulate the students' interest in learning,and the use of rhetorical devices can stimulate the students' interest in learning.The main reason is rhetoric.The use of techniques can make the language of the article full of infectious,vivid language.The fourth chapter mainly focuses on the illustration in Thousand words course.The illustration has the function of explaining the selected text content,and divide the illustration of the Thousand character Class into the character graph according to the content of the illustration.Landscape maps,animal maps,scene maps,some illustrations are explanatory illustrations,others are promotional illustrations,and further study of the features and functions of illustrations,the illustrations in the Thousand-character lesson are unique to the times.The regional color of the illustration is vivid,which accords with the students' cognitive ability in the minority areas.The illustration has a high matching degree with the text and the position is appropriate.Furthermore,the illustration in the movement of the common people is analyzed.The illustration in Thousand words course mainly has educational function,interesting function and aesthetic function.
