With the promulgation of "national primary and secondary schoolfull-time Chinese curriculum standard", Inner Mongolia education press hasissued a set of new teaching material in2008, namely "new textbook". Thisset of new textbook based on the provision of the curriculum standard, whichhas great changes on their capacity, times, type and scope of the articles etc.with the old Chinese textbook. In the light of above, the author compares twosets of teaching materials in order to discover their merits and demerits aswellas the existing problems inside them.This thesis is mainly composed of four parts. First part is an introductionto the thesis, which describes the basis of topic selection, objects of theresearch (concept definition), current research status and investigation to thestudy. Second part is a compare of the differences of the selection systemsbetween the old and new teaching materials, which are from the aspects of thecapacity, the times, the type and the scope of the articles in the textbooks.Third part is a compare of the resemblance of the selection system betweenthe old and new teaching materials, which are the guiding ideology, therichness of contents and its teaching object. Fourth part is the conclusion andsuggestion-the author comes to a conclusion base on above analysis as wellas extends her own suggestions to the problems herein, which are "keepingthe balance between Instrumentality and Humanities""equal existence ofmale and female literary works"and"the textbook and curriculum resourcesare complementary to each other".
