The development of school-based curriculum refers to the developing activities aiming to achieve educational goals or solving educational problems.Deeply rooted in the students ' needs,the characteristic school-based curriculum exerts the educational function of history,improves the ways students learn and lays out platforms for the students' individual development,which is also of great value to broaden the teachers' horizons and enhance their teaching ability.The paramount importance are attached to the development of school-based curriculum from the national government to Jiang Su government currently.Zhang Jian,a famous figure in the modern history,is known to almost everyone in Nan Tong.Depending on abundant cultural resources about Zhang Jian locally,we find it really feasible to develop the school-based curriculum.Combining the resources about local historical celebrities with school-based curriculum development poses an active and realistic effect on the curriculum development and construction.By means of exploring the traces of historical celebrities.,the development of school-based curriculum Zhang Jian,a topmost industrialist in Nan Tong A Middle School has made students have a comprehensive understanding of history and historical celebrities and even has motivated their strong appetite for knowledge,thus shaping their excellent moral values and exercising their practical ability and thinking ability.Most importantly,these students' national identity has been fostered.During the course of the development,the effective evaluation and diagnosis mechanism has been established,by which the school-based teaching has been optimized constantly.In practice,the curriculum furthers the characteristic school-based courses,promoting the school-running target.In that case,Schools can strike a balance between the all-round educationand examination-oriented education,providing each individual students more opportunities to developing diameter and bettering teachers' teaching and scientific research skills.However,we must admit that a few issues remain in practice.First,in order to make teachers have a rapid grasp of the basic principles and methods of the curriculum development and shape the research-based teaching staff,how can we match teachers ' professional qualities and teaching specialties ? Second,how can we balance the teaching tasks and the practice of the school-based curriculum and how can we arrange the school-based curriculum effectively and scientifically to promote the central teaching work of the school? Besides,to improve the teaching process remarkably and to optimize the curriculum system for further improvement and exploitation.,how can we evaluate and mange the curriculum reasonably and direct the feedback of evaluation to the teaching ?Therefore,the development of the school-based curriculum Zhang Jian,a topmost industrialist still have a lot of room for improvement.
