Middle school students are in the stage of puberty and their physical functions tend to be adulthood,with the characteristics of obvious sexual characteristics,social value of self-seeking,and great attention on physical and mental harmony.However,there existed great diversities on their psychological development.Some students face challenges in adaption to physiological changes,with the syndromes of emotional anxiety and depression,an unharmonious development between physical and mental health.The imbalance of physical and mental development will bring in insufficiency in self-driving ability,which will lead to various kinds of puberty problems accordingly.Survey shows that the current puberty education at schools is traditional with limited forms,and is difficult to meet the diversified and personalized needs of students in puberty.This study attempts to carry out the study on the social work intervention in puberty education for the 7thgrade students in Tianjin T Middle School.Quantitative study with questionnaire surveys and qualitative study with structured interviews were conducted.The services are designed and implemented based on the social work theory,through the methods of case work,group work and community work.By elaborating the design,intervention and evaluation,this study puts forward in-depth thinking on the strategy of social work in puberty education.This paper is presented in four chapters.The first part is about the research background,significance and literature review.The second part is the analysis on empirical research data and the causes.The third part is to explore the advantages of social work in puberty education,and to provide services based on the needs of students.The evaluation of service effectiveness is discussed as well.The fourth part is the dilemma of social work in puberty education and corresponding countermeasures.
