Resources are playing an increasingly important role,and the importance of information analysis is becoming increasingly prominent.Information analysis plays a very important role in both the era of knowledge economy and the development of intelligent economy in the future.In order to adapt to the development of society,information analysts have also become the senior scientific talents needed in the industry.However,education training of information analysis professionals in China has low levels and insufficient ability,which cannot meet the demand of the number and ability of social information analysts.This paper mainly solves the following two problems:First,what kind of ability and quality should a professional information analyst have?Second,is there a gap between education and information analyst competence?Where is the gap?If there is a gap,how to improve and perfect the status quo of education information analysis?The answers to these two questions can not only help us understand the requirements of information analysts' competence from the theoretical level,but also provide direction and guidance for the optimization of education for the master of information analysis.This paper first based on the theory of competency,constructed the framework of the competency model,then constructed the competency model of information analyst by using literature research method,interview method,expert investigation method and analytic hierarchy process.The model includes three dimensions of personal traits,skills and knowledge,including eight first-level indicators such as thinking mode,consciousness,personal quality,general skills,professional skills,management skills,subject knowledge and industry-related knowledge,as well as a detailed model of 31 second-level indicators.Moreover,recruitment data are used to verify the rationality of model indicators.At the same time,the analytic hierarchy process is used to calculate the weight of each index in the model,among which the weight of skill is the first,knowledge is the second,and personal traits are the last.In the weight ranking of 31 second-level indicators,the top five are information analysis ability,information identification ability,computer knowledge,writing skills and intelligence knowledge.Then the basic situation of education training for master of information analysis in China and the United States is analyzed.The curriculum of master of information analysis in China and the United States corresponds to the indicators of competency model of information analyst,and then analyzed the problems of education of domestic master of information analysis from two comparative perspectives.Firstly,based on the competency model of information analysts,the deficiencies between China and the United States in the education of master of information analysis are analyzed,which are mainly reflected in the gap in the cultivation of thinking ability and the lack of courses for critical thinking training.Second,there is a gap in the cultivation of awareness,which is lack of the awareness of information security and confidentiality.The third is the gap of comprehensive management ability training,lack of information analysis related soft skills training;Fourth,the gap in professional skills training:lack of practical courses of information analysis and information transfer skills training;Fifth,there is a lack of interdisciplinary and systematic knowledge cultivation.The sixth is the gap in the composition of industry knowledge,the lack of industry policy and legal knowledge training.Secondly,the education model of Chinese and American master of information analysis is compared with the information analyst competency model,and the gap between the model and the education model is mainly reflected in the following six aspects.The second is the gap of consciousness training,lack of self-learning consciousness training;Third division quality education training gap,lack of attention to personal quality education;Fourth,the gap in management skills training,the lack of time management concept;The fifth is the gap of professional skills training,lack of information analysis of the overall process of training;Finally,the sixth point is the gap in knowledge cultivation of the industry,the lack of course introduction and update of the industry economic environment and technological development.Finally,aiming at the problems of education for domestic masters in information analysis,according to the competency model of the information analyst,the optimization was carried out from six aspects,including the training objectives,curriculum setting,education methods,integrated practical teaching system,student assessment system and collaborative construction.
