Based on the limitation in the implementation and usage of "Left-Behind Children's Self-reliance Centers" in Guizhou,Guizhou Youth League Committee,together with Guizhou Rural Credit Cooperatives,plans to establish 100 "Left-Behind Children's Self-reliance Centers",which are with higher requirements and better equipped than "Homes of Left-Behind Children”.X Middle School of Q County is one of the first batch of schools and also the first in Q County to establish the “Left-Behind Children's Self-reliance Center”.To promote the popularization of “Left-Behind Children's Self-reliance and Center” in the whole county and even in the whole province and to make it play a better leading and exemplary role,so as to improve construction standards,management level,staffing,supervision status,function usage,etc.,hence to better protect the healthy growth of left-behind children.This article applies field observation,questionnaire and interviews to X Middle School's “Left-Behind Children's Self-reliance Center” to study the management status and proposes some solutions.The research shows that the "Left-Behind Children's Self-reliance Center",compared with the "Home of Left-Behind Children”,is more abundant in activities,more rational in the layout,and more convenient to communicate with parents.But still,X Middle School's "Left-Behind Children's Self-reliance Center" has following problems in its operation: Lack of professional management team,non-standard operation mode,insufficient supervision from superior departments,low social participation,insufficient publicity,and lack of family's participation and feedback.Hence,solution are proposed as follows: increase supervision from the government departments,rationally allocate professionals to participate in the management and activities of the center,establish incentive mechanisms to encourage teachers to participate in management,strengthen the training of teachers,and strengthen the linkage between homes and school.
