At present,there is a big problem in the convergence of geography teaching in the middle and high schools in most areas of China.The specific performance is:high school freshmen generally feel geography of high school abstract and difficult to understand,their grades are hard to improve,it even happens that students with good grades in junior high schools have plummeted when they enter senior high schools;geography teachers also generally feel that high school geography is difficult to teach,especially when it comes to close contact with junior high school knowledge,teaching is more difficult.It can not only help teachers and students to establish a correct concept of learning geography,but also promote the healthy development of the education system of middle and high schools by studying this thesis.This paper mainly uses literature method,questionnaires and educational practice method,is based on humanistic learning theory,constructivist theory and system theory.It defines the core concepts of the thesis research,and analyzes the shortcomings of geography teaching convergence of middle and high schools through questionnaires and data statistics.Based on the above theoretical basis,the paper will study the status quo and problems of geography teaching convergence in the middle and high schools of Xiangyun County by questionnaire.It explores the causes of the problems of geography convergence in the middle and high schools from the five aspects of student factors,teacher factors,curriculum factors,course objectives and teaching content.In view of the above problems and causes analysis,it puts forward the countermeasures to solve the current geography convergence problems in the middle and high schools,and provides reference for the convergence of geography teaching in the middle and high schools.The paper concludes that the curriculum should be optimized,the scores of geography courses in the senior high school entrance examination should be improved;the geography teaching content of the middle and high schools should be connected,and the geographic knowledge points of two sections should be summarized;students should form good study habits and actively change their learning methods;geography teachers in junior and senior high schools should strengthen communication and learning,high school geography teachers should integrate the contents of middle and high schools textbooks.
