Reading discontinuous texts is not only the need for students to adapt to the contemporary real life and self-development,but also the basic quality of citizens living in the information age.Discontinuous text refers to materials such as diagrams,drawings,texts or text combinations that are discontinuous in form but related in content.As a new form of text,discontinuous text appeared late,but it is widely used in textbooks,test questions and People's Daily life.It mainly tests the ability of reading subjects to extract information,integrate information,process information and solve practical problems in life.This study first the concept,characteristics and types of the discontinuity text has carried on the simple carding and induction,and adopt the method of questionnaire,interview,and from the aspects of teachers and students in high school discontinuity text reading teaching present situation has carried on the system of investigation,through the analysis found mainly exist the following problems: the teachers and students of discontinuity text lack the necessary cognitive;Students are not interested in reading discontinuous texts.In teaching,there is a lack of systematic methods and strategies to guide students to read discontinuous texts,and no specific reading training has been carried out.Teachers and students pay too much attention to exams and ignore the reality of life.In view of the above problems,the author analyzes the reasons: first,the teachers' awareness of discontinuous text teaching is not strong;second,the textbook lacks the development and improvement of the text resources;third,it is affected by the current examination system.Based on this,the author puts forward the specific improvement strategies from five aspects: enriching the teaching resources of discontinuous text reading;Developing discontinuous text reading teaching special topics;Guiding the strategy of discontinuous text reading;Organizing interdisciplinary learning activities;Strengthen discontinuous text reading training.Learning discontinuous texts is of great significance and value to students,and it is also the requirement of current Chinese core literacy.It is expected that this study can provide some ideas and methods for Chinese teachers in first-line high schools to carry out discontinuous text reading teaching,and effectively improve the current situation of discontinuous text reading teaching in high schools.
