In order to build an innovative country,enhance the competitiveness of our country on the international stage and narrow the gap with the developed countries in the world,our universities need to train millions of excellent talents every year to enrich all fronts of the country,and cultivating a group of top innovative talents focusing on the future is the key.Over the past decade,in order to adapt to the changes in the demand for highlevel talents in domestic and international development,Chinese colleges and universities have gradually begun to pay more attention to the training of top-notch innovative talents,unremittingly explore reform,constantly improve the training mode of top-notch innovative talents,and transport talents to meet the development needs of China's socialist modernization.Correspondingly,the cultivation of top innovative talents has become a hot topic in academic circles.The "Top Innovative Talents Program for Basic Science" is a great practice to enhance the competitiveness of International Education in the new historical period of our country.This paper mainly chooses 20 years' exploration and practice of cultivating top innovative talents in basic science of mathematics and physics in T University.By investigating and analyzing the development of students after graduation,and taking advantage of the "20 years of basic science" activity in 2018,it reviews and summarizes the achievements of cultivating top innovative talents in basic science of mathematics and physics in T University,and analyses the experience and existence of the quality of cultivating top innovative talents in basic science of mathematics and physics.The author hopes that it can be used for reference for T University and other universities in China to improve the quality of training top innovative talents in the future.The reason for choosing the basic science course of mathematics and physics of T University as the research object is: firstly,the basic science course of mathematics and physics founded by T University in 1998 is the first "experimental course of cultivating top innovative talents in basic science" in domestic universities;secondly,the basic science course of T University has been exploring practice,results and results of cultivation in the course of cultivating top innovative talents for 20 years.Finally,there are some problems in the cultivation of top innovative talents in basic mathematics and physics of T University,such as the unstable idea of "top-notch cultivation",the lack of school supporting system,and the weak implementation of humanistic care.To this end,the paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to improve the quality of cultivating top-notch innovative talents in basic mathematics and physics of T University from four aspects: returning to the original intention of talent cultivation,resolving the top-notch goal,helping to build up students' confidence,shaping value orientation,establishing a reasonable supporting mechanism,improving training programs,stimulating students to play their strengths and turning passivity into initiative.
