China is a world recognized big country in mathematics,but it is also an indisputable fact that Chinese students have strong test ability and poor problem solving ability.In recent decades,after many educational reforms,the "inquiry teaching" teaching model has been proposed and implemented.However,due to many reasons such as the selection model of the college entrance examination,there are still many problems in the implementation of inquiry teaching.It is one of the research directions of high school mathematics teaching reform to adopt or strengthen the research and practice of inquiry teaching in high school mathematics teaching.This paper analyzes the theory and practice of high school mathematics inquiry teaching by literature review,questionnaire survey,interview and case analysis.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part elaborates the research background,significance and the current research situation at home and abroad.The second part studies the meaning of inquiry teaching and the theoretical basis of its implementation.In the third part,three factors influencing high school mathematics inquiry teaching can be obtained through the questionnaire survey of students and the interview with teachers.The fourth part,based on the above problems,studies the principles and strategies suitable for inquiry-based teaching.The fifth part through two cases to explore the classroom to demonstrate and analyze its effect.The last part is the summary and prospect of this paper.
