| There exit some misunderstandings about the newly increased exploratory exercises in High School Mathematics Textbooks in JSJY.For example: The teachers and students haven’t laid enough emphasis on these exercises.Instead,they deal with them in a simple and casual way.As a result,these exercises can’t achieve the desired effect.In making a teaching design and teaching practice about the exploratory exercises,we need to take the following aspects into consideration: 1.How to arouse the students’ interest through these exploratory exercises.2.How to cause the teachers and students to attach great importance to these exploratory exercises.3.How to make the students experience the wonder of mathematics by solving the maths problems.4.How to make the students experience the formation of mathematics knowledge and the meaning of maths culture in a natural way.5.How to promote the students’ mathematical attainment through exploratory exercises.The above problems are what has to be settled urgently.In coping with these problems,this thesis defines the terms of exploratory teaching,exploratory learning and exploratory exercises through documentary analysis,illustrates the connection between exploratory learning and Mathematical literacy and make an analysis of the few questions below through questionnaires method and interviewing method.1.The meaning,type and characteristics of the exploratory exercises.2.The importance and meaning of adding exploratory exercises to mathematics textbooks.3.In the everyday teaching,the attitudes of the teachers and students towards the exploratory exercises.4.The ways to use exploratory exercises in an efficient way.5.How to improve and perfect the evaluating system of the efficient use of exploratory exercises.Based on the development of the students’ mathematical literacy,the author does research on the problems above through four kinds of ways of efficient use of theexploratory exercises.1.Improve the students’ problem solving skills by rearranging the problems profoundly.2.Gain some experience by developing the students’ way of thinking.3.Understanding of concepts further by inserting the classroom situations.4.Sublimating the students’ mathematical literacy by embedding classroom interactions.All these four ways are devoted to developing the students’ mathematical literacy during the math-teaching process.Meanwhile,the author puts forward the scientific evaluation dimension concerning the efficient use of the exploratory exercises.1.Emphasis on both the process and the outcome2.Expansibility3.Comprehensiveness.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions on exploratory exercises and some advice for maths teachers as well. |
