The dissertation is going to study the practical teaching methods of Art Appreciation in senior high school class. As a front-line educator, it is also a conversation and self-examination of the course content, course comprehension as well as accumulated cases for years. During the postgraduate theories study of the philosophy and psychology, the author has further learnt the empirical study method which is by'miniature narrating'the fresh cases to analysis the application of the current relative teaching methods, the advantage and disadvantage, as well as the practice of the new teaching methods. Based on the years of education, the author has applied the project with the combined of practice and research, according to literature research, questionnaire analysis, case study, etc. All of the cases are not only from the front line classes but also has brought the honors to those teachers which are demonstrative and high valuable. The structure of the dissertation is: instruction (research proposal), literature review of the current situation, questionnaire collection of the current Fine Art education and student studies in senior high school, case study of the practical common methods application along with the relative merits, and also to express the author's research and practice in class.The high school Fine Art Appreciation course plays a dominative and basic role in developing students'appreciation skills as well as the aesthetic ability. It does not only teach student the method of appreciate the fine art, visual perception development, evaluation ability, and also cultivate the students'art sentiment, building the sentiment from inside, which will encourage students to develop the personality, and also the ability of question discovery and solution. As a high school fine art educator, we have to have the ability to open Art Appreciation classes, which is the most important target on how to start and well implement in the class. From a'self-examination educator'of'rethink before moving forward'to a'course review practitioner'of'unity between theory and practice', the author believes it is also possible to extend the research in a further way: this report has found the stress of entry to a higher education level easily effected the students'interests on the Art Appreciation course according to the questionnaire results. These need the teachers'positive guidance, with the easy and fun scenes; set up the different levels of learning task according to students'study ability which will make them enjoy the whole process and get what we have taught. There are lots of previous educational researches, but fewer are focus on this course which is specified on those unique personality students. What's more, this report has tried to discuss the traditional education method, such as the pros and cons of presentation, multi-media assist in practical class. At the same time, it also discussed the modern method, such as learning stents method, group discussion as well as the advantage and disadvantage review. The previous studies have only discussed the application but haven't mentioned the limitation. In the report, the author has tried to research the high school Art Appreciation by using the post-modern idea, with units teaching, circumstance teaching imitation methods to improve the education and study results. The whole experience has played an extremely important part in my lifelong study.
