“Teacher Teams” and “Teacher Cooperation” have always been hot topics in the field of education.Teacher cooperation is an urgent requirement for the construction of teacher staff in China;an inner demand for the professional development of the teachers;an external condition for the overall development of students;and a realistic desire of the development of schools.The teacher cooperative team and the teachers' cooperation is two different concepts.The teacher cooperative team is a team in which teachers cooperate.While the teachers' cooperation is a process.The teacher' cooperations can improve the teachers' professional development,help the all-round development of students,and fuel the development of schools.Based on the theories of social interdependence,group dynamics,learning organization,and teacher culture classification,all the teachers of Shenzhen G School were issued with questionnaires,and 12 teachers were interviewed.The status of cooperation was investigated.The focus was on five dimensions which are identified as cooperative cognition,team feelings,team participation,school environment and team environment.According to the results of the questionnaires and interviews,the average score of team environment ranked highest,while the average score of the school environment was the lowest.Firstly,there were significant differences between teachers of different genders in the dimensions of team participation,school environment,and team environment.Secondly,there were significant differences among teachers with different levels of seniority in the dimensions of cooperative cognition,team feelings,school environment,and team environment.In addition,there were significant differences among teachers of different subjects in the dimensions of school environment and team environment.The results shows that G school still faces some problems in the field of teachers' cooperation.For instence,the cooperation partners and the cooperation fields are limited,the channels of communication are narrowed,there are few outcomes of teacher team,there is an uneven development among teacher teams,and the expected feelings are not satisfied.The reasons of these problems varied.Because of individual reasons,some problems happen,which consist of the reasons of one-sided cooperation cognitions,the lack of cooperation abilities,and the burden of stress.Due to team reasons,some problems take place,which include the disadvantages of team thinking and the leadership styles of the team leaders.On account of the school reasons,some problems arise,which cover the lack of cooperative culture,cooperation opportunities,cooperation investments,cooperation time,and thorough evaluation systems for teachers and teacher teams.This study puts forward some suggestions.First of all,teachers should enhance cooperation consciousness.Moreover,some creative modes should be put forward for teacher teams.Last but not the least,the school should strengthen cooperation guarantee by building up cooperative culture,training cooperative talents,increasing cooperation opportunities,guaranteeing cooperation time,raising investments,and updating management mechanisms.
