Books are one of the main materials for early reading of preschool children and play a vital role in the formation of early reading habits and development of reading ability of preschool children.Studies have confirmed that there is a significant correlation between the number of books and the early reading ability of children.Reading,as an essential ability for one's lifelong development,is increasingly valued in today's society.It is necessary to cultivate children's reading ability at the preschool stage to lay a solid foundation for their future study.This study investigated the family collection status of small class children through questionnaire survey,including the total volume,structure,family reading environment creation and parent-child reading status.On the basis of analyzing and summarizing the previous studies,the early reading ability test was used to test the early reading ability of children.The test was conducted from the aspects of comprehension,identification and reading ability.After data collection,SPSS24 was used for analysis.Single factor analysis of variance was used to explore the relationship between family collection status and children's early reading abilityThe conclusions of this study are as follows :(1)parents of children in junior class have a high degree of recognition for their children's interest in reading and the importance of reading ability.They are willing to devote themselves to early reading and will consciously cultivate their early reading ability.The small class children all have a certain amount of books and have a complete collection of books,but the total collection is relatively small.The children in the small class most like the fable fairy tale books,the family has the most books are fable fairy tales books;Parent-child reading is the main way for children in small class to carry out reading activities at home.However,there are still some problems in the guidance process of parentchild reading,such as lack of purpose and improvement of guidance methods.(2)the reading ability test results of early childhood show that the average reading ability of early childhood is 31.07 points,with average scores;Gender differences in early childhood reading ability were significant,and girls' average scores were higher than boys'.(3)single factor anova was used to analyze the book collection status of family books and children's early reading ability,and it was found that there was no significant difference between the total book collection size,type,parents' socio-economic status and children's early reading ability.There was a significant difference between the education level of the father and the children's understanding of the story structure.
