Research On The Employment Security System Of Retired Athletes In China

Athletes play a vanguard role in pushing the development of sports.Our government has taken the security of the retired athletes seriously,and introduced a number of concrete measures to help athletes avoid getting into a difficult living situation.However,the employment security of retired athletes still faces a great deal of difficulties under the background of difficult employment.Many issues need to be solved urgently,such as lack of proper policies,improper employment placement,absence of employment skills training and even the overlook of athletes' mental health.As a result,there are some athletes rely on the government to find a position for them with negative thoughts,which lead to a phenomenon that the retired athletes stay in the sport team,hindering the stability of team members.The inadequate employment security of retired athletes has become an important factor which restricts the development of sports.Therefore,this research takes the employment security of the retired athletes in China as the research object,analyses the problems existing in the employment security of retired athletes in China based on the current situation and the investigation on the status quo of the employment security of retired athletes in Shanghai.Meanwhile,this research is inclined to put forward a solution with the foreign advanced experience.That is to build a new type of employment security system to prove the current one.This research uses methods of literature,interviews,questionnaires,mathematical statistics and empirical summary.In this research,there are six chapters,which are divided into five parts.The first part is introduction,which mainly explains the background and the significance of this research,and combs and evaluates the previous researches.In accordance with them,other academics have studied this subject from the status quo,the causes,the solutions and other aspects,while lacking in a more comprehensive aspect,which makes the current security cannot take an obvious effect.The second part analyses the status quo of the employment security of retired athletes in China.First of all,this research gives a specific definition of athlete to make the subject clear,which makes this research different from others.Next,this research tends to analyse the major factors affecting the employment to figure out the reasons why is so hard for the retired athletes to find a satisfying job.Meanwhile,this research finds out some shortcomings like the legal system is imperfect and various subjects take an inactive participation in employment security.The third part of this research contains investigation and analysis.This part intends to analyse the specific problems mainly based on the empirical investigation o retired athletes in Shanghai,digging the deeper problems of the re-employment security.The research chooses some typical people to do the questionnaires and interviews,mainly to sum the advantages and disadvantages of the security in Shanghai,discuss the weakness during the operation of the security,which includes improper employment placement and insufficient job skills training.In the fourth part,the research tries to build a comprehensive re-employment security system for retired athletes,combing with the actual situation in China and the foreign advanced experience.In the end of the fourth chapter,under the frame of one objective,four levels,two aspects,four subjects,two guarantees and five countermeasures,a re-employment system has been put forward,which is based upon the security of policies,the cooperation between government and enterprise,the operation of market,the personal effort to find a job independently and the social help to improve the employment of retired athletes..The fifth chapter raises some countermeasures and suggestions for construction of the system above-mentioned.And the last chapter summarizes the main conclusions of this study and the insufficiency,also proposes the future research directions for the following researchers.
