Long training period,high intensity,relatively closed competition and training,and low socialization are the biggest characteristics of water sports relative to other events.On the one hand,it is difficult for athletes to spend too much time and energy to improve cultural quality and master social skills.On the other hand,with the continuous improvement of the socialist market economic system,society has become more and more strict with the quality and ability of talents.This situation makes it more difficult for athletes to re-employ after retirement.Therefore,the research on the retired employment situation of athletes in the Sichuan water sports(Olympic project)has a certain representativeness,and can provide feasibility suggestions for the entire Sichuan sports professional team and other projects.This paper takes retired athletes,in-service athletes,and administrative personnel of Sichuan water sports as the research objects,and adopts the method of document information distribution,expert interview,comparative analysis,questionnaire survey,case analysis and data method.The employment status of retired athletes was investigated and analyzed.Combining the opinions and investigations of the administrative staff,we compared the existing in-service athletes' willingness to find employment,put forward countermeasures to improve the employment of marine athletes,and learned from experience.After research,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)From 2009 to 2017,the placement channels for retired athletes in water projects are relatively flat,but the placement scope is relatively narrow,and the road strength is relatively simple.Despite the high level of continuing education of retired athletes and the large proportion of university diplomas,they still cannot participate in occupations that require high cultural qualities and academic qualifications;veteran athletes' vocational skills training and higher-professional skills training have become the future The main means of employment.(2)In-service athletes have not completely changed their employment concepts and have relied too much on policy-based employment placement;although they receive a high degree of continuing education during their on-the-job training,they rarely carry out vocational skills training that is in line with social needs,and Most active athletes have not been able to get the best employment after they retired,and they have not been fully prepared for their career changes.(3)The employment problem of retired athletes in Sichuan water sports depends not only on continuing to increase supportive policies to strengthen the training of retired athletes' professional skills,but also encourages athletes to receive vocational skills training during their employment.It should also guide athletes to form a good employment concept,encourage entrepreneurs to support entrepreneurship funds,promote employment through entrepreneurship,and actively expand employment placement channels to train athletes as early as possible and establish career planning awareness.
