Education is the foundation of a century's plan,and teachers are the foundation of education.Normal colleges and universities undertake the main responsibility of training high-quality primary and secondary school teachers.Normal students,as the future teachers,shoulder the historical mission of disseminating knowledge,ideas and truth,and undertake the important task of shaping the soul,life and human being.As a general course which mainly promotes the comprehensive quality of normal students,it plays an increasingly important role in the current curriculum construction of normal universities.This research is based on the theories of eternal general education philosophy,progressive general education philosophy,elementalist general education philosophy,the guiding ideology of the theory of comprehensive development of human beings and the curriculum design based on the theory of "multiculturalism".Firstly,through interviews,the author listens to the views of management and teachers on the general education curriculum,and through the method of classroom observation,the implementation of general education course in classroom is understood by once again,and then the views and implementation status of general education course in normal universities are sorted out through analysis and reflection on interviews and the results of classroom observation above,the paper puts forward the views,reasonable parts and areas are to be improved.secondly,the author applies content analysis method to compare and analyze three Normal Universities in Shanxi Province with the relevant general education documents on the official websites of The Education University of Hong Kong and National Taipei University of Education.Finally,based on the above analysis and reflection,the general education curriculum system of normal universities is reconstructed preliminarily.Through Delphi method,after three repeated feedback sessions with 15 managers of curriculum construction in universities or teachers of general education courses with rich experience,the paper tries to improve the structure and content of the general course system in normal universities,and puts forward specific countermeasures and suggestions for improvement.Based on the above research,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The conclusion according to different views on general education curriculum.From the two levels of dean of educational administration and teachers,the paper interviews the concept and objectives,setting and arrangement,evaluation and management,problems and prospects of general education curriculum.Specific conclusions can be summarized as follows: enhance comprehensive literacy and cultivate critical thinking concepts and objectives;the main responsibility lies with the Academic Affairs Department and the setting and arrangement of the lack of Overall planning;a little singleness and lack of comprehensive evaluation and management;there are problems in teachers,planning,management,facilities and so on,and the corresponding prospects are put forward.2.The conclusion according to the observation results of classroom teaching of general education courses.Classroom observation includes teaching environment,teaching methods,teacher-student interaction,use of textbooks,classroom questioning and so on.Specific conclusions can be summarized as follows:improper selection of classrooms,improper use of multimedia,and seemingly quiet classroom atmosphere;with narrative method as the main method andt he teaching method is single.3.The conclusion according to the comparative analysis of official website documents.The paper compares the official website documents of three normal universities in Shanxi Province with those of The Education University of Hong Kong and National Taipei University of Education in terms of concept and objectives,curriculum planning and design,organization and administrative operation.Specific conclusions can be summarized as follows:having the characteristics of normal schools but lacking local characteristics and clearly defined concepts and objectives;a small number of courses and lack of overall planning and design of specialized departments;the academic affairs office of the non-special department is responsible for organizational and administrative operations.4.The conclusion according to the method of Delphi's advisory results,as the curriculum construction managers or general course teachers suggest,the concept and goal of the general course in the general course system should focus on guiding students to establish a good way of thinking and cultivate the ability of critical thinking;improve the structure and content of general education course,and try to reconstruct a relatively reasonable structure and content of general education curriculum suitable for Shanxi Normal University,including eight areas of curriculum structure and content.5.Overall conclusions and Countermeasures: establish a clear concept and objectives of general education curriculum;plan and design general education curriculum as a whole;improve the quality of teachers and teaching quality;provide appropriate resources and teaching environment;improve the mechanism of organied and administrative operation;try to reconstruct and improve the general education curriculum system.
