With the continuous reform and in-depth advancement of school physical education in our country,the development of education also requires the innovation of teaching methods.The methods of its various disciplines and fields are also constantly innovated,which is no longer limited to the traditional teaching methods.Sports is a special subject,how to use forward-looking teaching methods to improve our quality of education and teaching is extremely important.The case teaching method is a kind of teaching method advocated by Harvard University in the 20th century.The law school introduced the case teaching method into the education for the first time,which opened the first example of the case teaching.Case teaching method has been widely used in other disciplines and has achieved some success.The case teaching method is introduced to our country relatively late,and the application of case teaching method in physical education is even less.Therefore,this study applies the case teaching method to the technical teaching of basketball compulsory course in physical education colleges and universities,to explore the advantage in the technical teaching of basketball compulsory course in physical education colleges and universities.This paper adopts the methods of literature,questionnaire,teaching experiment,logic analysis and mathematical statistics,and takes Class 1 and Class 2 of physical Education of Grade 18 of Xingtai University as the experimental objects of teaching,the characteristics of the case,the principle of the case writing,the process of the case writing,the application process and the concrete implementation of the case are studied.After the experiment,Excel12007 and sps20.0 were used to deal with the related data,and the physical quality,basic condition,basketball technique and classroom learning experience questionnaire of two kinds of students were analyzed.Based on the above study,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The case teaching designed in this study plays an active role in the basketball compulsory course technology teaching,which can improve students' mastery of basketball related technology;2.Case teaching can not only encourage students to participate actively in the classroom and skills exercises,but also improve students' interest in basketball learning;3.The shortcomings of case teaching in basketball technical teaching in physical education institutes are as follows:pre-class preparation workload is large,teaching workload is low and may cause students to form a phenomenon of "over generalization".4.The problems existing in the application of case teaching method to basketball technology teaching in physical education colleges and universities are as follows:the typical nature of the case itself will inevitably lead to a single and scattered teaching content,which will destroy the integrity of knowledge.
