In order to adapt to the development of intelligent era and cultivate the core competence and ability of students,it is the important mission to provide suitable education in every country,which is also the major subject for the curriculum reform in 21 st century.As a kind of teaching appliance,Open Source Hardware is applied in the school education,which can cultivate the competence of students in practice innovation and problem solving.At present,as to the school with the application of Open Source Hardware,there are the problems of over intimation of teachers when teaching students and others,lacking of some theoretical guidance.As a new form of education,design-based learning and STEM education aim to train conducive students to use multi-disciplinary knowledge to solve problems comprehensively,which is helpful to train develop students' innovative design and problem-solving ability.Therefore,it has important significance by integrating advanced teaching concepts into the teaching of Open Source Hardware to solve the current problems.As to this research,it takes Linkboy platform as the carrier to implement Open Source Hardware and design-oriented study concept as guidance,and constructs the Linkboy curriculum system from the design on activity model,case development,case practice,and teaching improvement.First of all,it has clearance on design-oriented study and STEM these theories,and analysis on the teaching status of Open Source Hardware,then,it selects Linkboy platform as the carrier to implement the course,which has the advantages of easy implementation and high flexibility,so that it can encourage the students' ability in interest cultivation and problem solving.Secondly,it has adaptability analysis on design-oriented study with STEM education and Linkboy,and then,it points out that it is feasible by integrating STEM education into Linkboy course and taking design-oriented study concept as guidance.Later,according to“reverse thinking” model,on the basis of designed scientific binary exploration model,and constructivism and other theories,it constructs the design-oriented study activity operationmodel which adopts to the Linkboy course.Based on it,from the aspects of students-based,society-based,and knowledge-based,it completes the Linkboy course system development with the contents of “entrance section,basic section,and improvement section”.Later,it processes teaching practice in a senior middle school in Jinan,which firstly has case analysis on the teaching of a triggered sensor in “basic section”,and it includes “optical control lamp,vibration alarm,and human detection device” these three lesson periods,and besides,in every round of teaching practice,it has teaching comment and reflection on time from the aspects of science and technology,and amends the curriculum system consistently.Afterwards,it has the teaching practice on the topic of binary detective senior in the “improvement section”,which includes temperature,humidity,and detector these three lesson periods,then,the students can experience the activity process of exploration,design,and optimization with the integrated application in scientific knowledge and engineering technology thinking,and reference to Linkboy platform,so that they can observe problems,inspect and explore them,analyze them,design works,and improve their ability to solve problems consistently.After the teaching practice,by means of the record on classroom teaching,and analysis in students' works and attitude,it can have analysis and inspection on the effect of curriculum implementation.Finally,it puts forward the advice to apply it to Linkboy course of Open Source Hardware on the basis of design-oriented study,which can provide some guidance for the development of teaching by Open Source Hardware for teachers.The research results show that it is feasible and suitable to integrate design-oriented study concept in the Linkboy course of Open Source Hardware,which can strengthen the scientificity,systematicness,and directivity of teaching by directionality,break through the teaching model of demonstration by teachers and imitation by students,and provide teaching cases for references for students.The Linkboy course based on design-oriented study can improve the study interest of students,help students to complete significant study,realize the migrating application of knowledge,and play an important role in cultivating the ability of solving problems and other core competences of students.
