Cultivating students' computational thinking ability has long been a hot topic in education research at home and abroad.Many researchers have made various attempts on how to cultivate computational thinking in order to enable students to adapt to the rapid development of the information society and make computational thinking become a skill that everyone has.In order to cultivate students' computing thinking,this study has made bold innovation in the cultivation method.Based on the open source hardware laboratory function of Linkboy simulation platform,it teaches Arduino open source hardware course to students in the form of complete simulation,so as to cultivate junior high school students' computing thinking ability.In the early stage of the study,a large number of literatures were sorted out,and the Arduino open-source hardware course design based on Linkboy simulation platform was completed,with a total of 10 sections,and the four dimensions of computing thinking were identified as abstraction,decomposition,construction and implementation.In the implementation stage,shenyang S school senior school seven years,as an object of class four,were carried out for a period of 16 class teaching practice,before the start of the practice,the basic situation of students' questionnaire information technology,in the form of test data collected early computing thinking level,in the process of practice,The class is divided into four parts: abstraction,decomposition,construction and realization,which are corresponding to the dimension of computational thinking one by one.With the support of project-based learning theory,the Arduino course designed is taken as the teaching content.By using Linkboy simulation platform to complete preset projects,the purpose of developing students' computational thinking ability is achieved.At the end of the study,four methods of computational thinking test,interview,classroom performance analysis and work improvement analysis were adopted to comprehensively evaluate the changes in students' computational thinking ability.The research results show that the Linkboy simulation platform can effectively cultivate the computational thinking ability of junior high school students,and students' ability in abstraction,decomposition,construction and realization of four dimensions has been significantly improved;At the same time,Arduino open source hardware course based on Linkboy simulation platform can be successfully implemented,which can provide new ideas for front-line teachers without physical hardware to carry out related courses.
