| As a combination of online and offline teaching methods,Blended learning has been satisfied by teachers and students.However,although the Blended Learning has the advantages of flexibility and autonomy,there are also some problems in the specific teaching practice.Especially in the past,the evaluation method guided by achievement or satisfaction ignored the students' Formative performance,which was difficult to meet the needs of teaching effect evaluation.Achievement or satisfaction-oriented evaluation methods ignore students 'formative performance and are difficult to meet the needs of teaching effect evaluation.The behavior,cognition and emotional engagement in the dimension of student engagement are the process variables in the learning of learners,which can accurately and multi-dimensionally grasp the student engagement status of learners,and provide new ideas for the measurement of learning performance in blended learning.However,at present,there are relatively few studies on blended learning with student engagement as the starting point for research.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research to study the blended English teaching model based on student engagement.First of all,this paper sorts out the current research on Blended learning and student engagement at home and abroad.By absorbing student engagement theory,second language acquisition theory,related learning theory and drawing on the existing English Blended learning model,we designed an English mix based on student engagement Teaching model.The model constructed in this study has the characteristics of measurable learner student engagement,co-construction of group knowledge,and compliance with the law of second language acquisition.The model is divided into three stages before class,classroom and after class.Each stage is connected through student engagement measurement.After each stage,the student engagement status of the learner needs to be measured.Through the above design,make preparations for the next mode implementation and analysis.Secondly,the author selects the learners of the 2018 English intensive reading class of S University as the research object,and conducts applied research based on the teaching practice process of the blended English teaching model of student engagement.And sort out the learning data collected by the "cloud class" network teaching platform,student engagement scale,teaching feedback questionnaire.Prepare for the next data analysis.Finally,based on the implementation results of the model,SPSS was used to conduct a descriptive analysis of the student engagement data collected in each stage,specifically analyzing the learner's engagement level in Blended learning,and through the calculation formula of student engagement indicators in Chapter 3,And the real situation of student engagement in the study class after the student engagement measurement table.Immediately followed by a qualitative interview survey of learners,from the perspective of learners to do supplementary research based on student engagement English Blended learning model.Based on the above analysis,relevant strategies are proposed to improve the application effect of the blended English teaching model based on student engagement.The results of the study show that learners are better at learning activities related to teacher supervision,such as taking quizzes,submitting homework,and punching in check-in indicators.There are two levels of differentiation in video learning,discussion activities and other indicators,so It is necessary to increase the personalization and streamlining of online learning content,and improve the fun of activities to improve the implementation strategy of this model. |
