Geographic image plays an important role in college entrance examination,daily geography teaching and application in daily life.Geographical image is an important tool for teachers to impart geographical knowledge and cultivate students' geographical literacy,which has become a hot topic among geography educators.However,there are still some limitations in the cultivation of geographic image in high school.Therefore,by formulating and distributing questionnaires and test questions,the author of this paper understand the current situation of geography image teaching among senior high school students and geography teachers,and summary the main problems from the two aspects of teachers' teaching and students' learning.At the same time,the author puts forward the image teaching strategies.The first part introduces the research background of geography image teaching,and analyzes the research value of image teaching from the theoretical and practical aspects.The document method is used to summarize the research status of geographical image at home and abroad and some questions are raised on the basis of previous research.The second part is to define the concept of geography image and geography image teaching strategy,and then introduce the theoretical basis of geography image teaching from pedagogy and geography science.The third part is based on geography experts and scholars and geography textbooks,geographical images are divided into seven types,and the form and function of each type of geographical images are expounded.This paper analyses the materials published by people's education press and published by Hunan education press version(old and new edition)textbook covered geography image system and the national I volume nearly a decade in the examination of geographic image,and respectively summaries the structure characteristics of the image.The fourth part takes Sanhe No.2 Middle School as the research object to investigate the current situation of image teaching in senior high school through the method of questionnaire survey and question test.The statistical results show that the main problems in teachers' teaching are as follows:geographical image teaching is a mere formality,lacking of method guidance,outdated geographical image content,at the same time,the development of extracurricular resources is less,the teaching form of geographical image is single,and the teaching reflection is insufficient.The main problems in students' learning are:middle school geography connection is not enough,the image learning is not continuous,the geographical basic knowledge is insufficient,the image learning is not solid,the geographical image acquisition is single,the image learning is not active,the geographical image ability is weak,the image learning does not transfer.The face of the problems in the teaching of geographical image,the fifth part puts forward that teachers should carry out geography image teaching at different levels at the class level,the image teaching method should adapt to the image type,and the image teaching form should be innovated.Suggestions from professors with rich geographical image resources;Students should learn to construct a mature mental map and form a self-image structure system in their study and life,so a to form the habit of geographic image living.The sixth part is the summary of this paper.
