A Study On The Training Strategies Of The High School Students' Geographical Space Thinking Ability

The geographical space thinking ability is the core capability that senior high school students should get. Thus, developing senior high school students'geographical space thinking ability is of great importance. Based on the Pedagogy constructivism theory, geography teaching theory and Cognitive theory, this essay redefines the geographical space thinking ability by using documentary analysis,questionnaire, statistical analysis and case analysis and divide the geographical space thinking ability into two kinds: Static geographical space thinking ability and Dynamic geographical space thinking ability. More importantly, this essay puts forward the concrete strategies on how to develop students' geographical space thinking ability and presents some cases at the end of the essay.This article is divided into six parts:Part ?: Introduction. Discuss the research background and objectives and reviews the progress, ideas and methods of the research at home and abroad.Part ?: Theoretical basis. Based on the theories, this part defines and classifies the geographical space thinking ability.Part ?: Current situation. Design a questionnaire which is aimed at having a basic understanding of the current situation of senior high school students'geographical thinking ability. Then collect data, analyze the result and draw a conclusion.Part ?: Research strategy. This is the main part of the essay. Based on the reference materials and the problems exposed at the questionnaire, this part puts forward some concrete and practical methods of how to develop senior high school students' geographical thinking ability.Part ?: Case analysis. According to the strategies put forward in part 4, compile two detailed teaching cases. One is about the static geographical space thinking ability and the other is about the dynamic geographical space thinking abilityPart ?: Conclusion. Summarize the conclusion of the study.
