This article mainly USES literature research, case study method, action research method, research method; In this paper to solve the problem:1, high school students should have what kind of geographical thinking ability;2, training high school students how geographical thinking ability of the case design;3, experiments prove that use of case teaching good thinking ability training.This article mainly in three parts:The first part included related concepts, the present situation research, research background, etc, the case teaching and thinking ability. Study background mainly from the learner’s needs and requirements are discussed the importance of case teaching and thinking ability training. From the geography curriculum standard, geographical textbooks, geography, the university entrance exam analysis feasibility of applying case teaching to improve students’ thinking ability. Through literature research found that use visual means, landscape photos,"assume", multimedia courseware, mind maps, solve geographic problems, classroom questioning, discovery learning, drawing teaching, lenovo, comparison, map teaching and various teaching methods to cultivate the students’ thinking ability. How to apply case teaching, theoretical research, evaluation of teaching mode, teaching strategy and efficient classroom discussion of case teaching, case design and so on angles. Through the literature to determine the geographical thinking ability is refers to the analysis and synthesis, abstraction and generalization, inference and prediction, and other forms of thinking and indirect response characteristic of geographical science and internal logic fusion process of objective reality.The second part mainly from the literature analysis, geography curriculum standard, teaching materials and college entrance examination,"geography","man-land relationship","map","macmillan combination", from psychology, discusses the geographical thinking ability of high school students should have. Thinking ability for high school students should have: geographical logic thinking ability, geographic image thinking ability, geographic geographical innovation critical thinking ability and thinking ability.The third part was mainly through the study of geography case teaching thinking ability design. Pay attention to study method of transmission case design. Design general idea from the typical case sums up the general rules and general rules of flexible use to other related issues. Choosing case starting from the actual case of student life around, the life practical problem into geographic use geographic perspective to look at problems. Case design should reflect the students’ initiative and autonomy in the process.The fourth part mainly is to use case teaching to cultivate high school students of geographical thinking ability in the experiment. Through the data show the effectiveness of the case teaching of thinki ng ability training.
