In the face of the fierce competition for talents in the 21st century,people from all walks of life pay more and more attention to the role of education,and concern more and more about basic education and primary school students.On the one hand,academic performance as a standard for weighing the completion of basic education task by primary school students is valued by schools,families and researchers;on the other hand,senior grade students in primary school are in a period of rapid changes in physical and mental development,when there may be unbalanced development,and their internal psychological quality has a greater and greater impact on learning behavior.It is of practical significance to explore the mechanism of influence of the internal psychological quality of senior grade students in primary school on their academic performance.Therefore,this study proposes from the perspective of the impact on the academic performance of senior grade students in primary school,to discuss the relationship between the academic delay of gratification and academic performance,investigate the meditating role of self-control in the relationship between academic delay of gratification and academic performance,reveal the impact of academic delay of gratification on the academic performance of senior grade students in primary school and its mechanism of function,design group psychological counseling scheme to intervene the self-control of senior grade student in primary school,so as to explore the effect of group psychological counselling in improving the self-control level and academic performance of senior grade students in primary school.In study ?,the whole sampling method is adopted.The fifth and sixth grade students from two ordinary primary schools in Zhongyuan District,Zhengzhou City,Henan province are tested for study through collective test by questionnaire,so as to understand the current situation and mutual relationship between academic delay of gratification,self-control of senior grade students in primary school and academic performance.The results show that:(1)The academic delay of gratification of senior grade students in primary has significant differences in gender and student cadre;(2)The academic delay of gratification,self-control and academic performance of senior grade students in primary school are positively correlated;(3)The academic delay of gratification of senior grade students in primary school can significantly positively predict their academic performance.(4)Self-control of senior grade student in primary school plays a mediating role between academic delay of gratification and academic performance.On the basis of study ?,study ? sets test group and control group in the subjects with low self-control scores according to the extreme grouping method,designs a group psychological counseling scheme for senior grade students in primary school,and compares the data results of the two groups before and after the group counseling activities.The results show that:after accepting the intervention from group counseling,the academic delay of gratification,self-control and academic performance of subjects in the test group are significantly higher than those before the intervention,and the differences are significant;while there is no significant difference in the scores of academic delay of gratification,self-control and academic performance in the control group.It indicates that the group psychological counseling in this study has the effect,the self-control level and academic performance of the subjects in the test group are improved.The results of this study can provide some reference value for teachers and parents,and provide an empirical basis for promoting the improvement of academic performance and related educational issues of senior grade students in primary school by cultivating their self-control ability and academic delay of gratification ability in practical educational activities.
