As an advanced physical training concept,functional training has been developed continuously in recent years,it has been recognized by experts at home and abroad and applied in some excellent teams for its role in improving athletes' physical ability level,enhancing sports performance,reducing sports injury and prolonging sports life.As one of the most representative traditional sports of the Chinese nation,Competitive Dragon dance develops slowly compared with basketball,football,track and field and so on.This paper will analyze the physical characteristics of competitive dragon dance according to the characteristics of the events,combine the concept of functional training,formulate a complete functional physical training program,in order to improve the athletes' own physical quality and teamwork ability,at the same time,it provides a certain reference for the training method of Competitive Dragon Dance.In this paper,the methods of literature,questionnaire,experiment,mathematical statistics and logical analysis were used to prepare the Hunan Normal University team for the 2019 National Dragon and Lion Dance Championship,in the part of physical fitness training,functional training was added,and the experimental intervention was carried out for 32 weeks in the part of physical fitness training,taking the Dragon Team ofNanchang Normal University as the control group.Finally use SPSS21 to compare and analyze the experimental data,and come to a conclusion:(1)after 32 weeks of intervention experiment,the FMS test data of the experimental group and the Control Group were compared and analyzed through functional action screening,and the total FMS test scores of both the experimental group and the control group were improved to some extent,the results showed that both the functional physical training method and the traditional physical training method could improve the basic sports function of the athletes,and the average scores of the experimental group and the Control Group were higher than those of the Control Group,after independent sample t test,P value showed significant difference,which showed that the effect of functional training method was better than the traditional physical training method(2)After 32 weeks of intervention experiment,comparing the data of various physical fitness tests of the two groups of athletes before and after the experiment,it was found that there was a certain improvement basically,it shows that both the functional physical training method and the traditional physical training method can improve the physical quality of the athletes.By comparing the data of the two groups of athletes after the experiment,it was found that the strength,sensitivity and endurance quality of the right upper limb of the experimental group were better than those of the control group,there was nosignificant difference in other qualities.Therefore,it is proved that the effect of functional physical training is better than the traditional physical training method,which lays a solid foundation for the experimental group athletes to further learn specific techniques.(3)after the experiment,the results of the special quality test of dragon-holding in the sports team were compared and analyzed.The test results of the experimental group were all better than those of the control group,and the independent sample t test showed that,the P values of 10 items of dragon-holding fast 8-figure dragon dance and 10 items of dragon-holding fast spiral jumping dragon were all less than0.01,and the P values of 4 items of dragon-holding fast undulating swimming dragon were 0.022,showing significant difference.It is proved that the functional physical training method is more obvious than the traditional physical training method in improving the special quality of dragon-holding.(4)after the experiment,the results of the difficulty movement test of dragon-holding in the sports team were compared and analyzed.It was found that the test results of the experimental group were better than those of the control group,the P value of the difficulty test results of the eight-figure Dragon Dance,the waist-down Dragon Dance,the high-back Dragon Dance,and the spiral dragon dance was between 0.01 and 0.05,there was significant difference,but there was no significant difference in other difficult movements,it shows thatthe experimental group is better than the control group in the stability of difficulty movement.This further proves that the functional physical training method is more obvious than the traditional physical training method in improving athletes' skills.
