| Biology is an experiment-based science and one of the important basic courses in the field of science in senior high school.Theoretical teaching and experimental teaching are two major ways of biology teaching in senior high school.Experimental teaching plays an important role in irreplaceable theoretical teaching.It is of great significance for the cultivation of students' basic experimental skills,core literacy of biology,scientific thinking and inquiry ability.In recent years,the education and teaching level of Chuxiong City,where the author works,has steadily improved,and major achievements have been made in the college entrance examination.At the same time,due to the long-term influence of examination-oriented education system,experimental teaching has not been effectively carried out,so that it has become a supplementary means of theoretical teaching,and the current teaching situation is not optimistic.Yunnan Province will formally launch a new round of college entrance examination reform in 2022,in order to promote the education and teaching reform and improve the level of senior high school experimental teaching in Chuxiong City.This paper studies the current situation of biology experiment teaching to find out the main problems existing in biology experiment teaching in Chuxiong City,and carry out experimental research on the main problems,and put forward feasible suggestions for improvement.This paper takes all biology teachers,biology experimenters and senior high school sophomore science class students in 7 high schools of Chuxiong City as the research object,mainly adopts questionnaire survey,combined with interviews,in-depth investigation of the basic situation of the biological laboratory of each school,the situation of the tester and the biological teacher and the current learning situation of each school.A total of 67 questionnaires were distributed to teachers and 67 valid questionnaires were collected;740 questionnaires were distributed to students and 709 valid questionnaires were collected.The results were statistics by Excel and analysis with spss22.0.The results show that there are mainly the following problems in biology experiment teaching in Chuxiong senior high school:(1)Imperfect laboratory conditions,shortage of experimental funds,lack of necessary instruments and equipment,and poorly equipped modern teaching equipment.(2)The rate of opening experiments is low,and experimental teaching becomes the supplementary of theoretical teaching.(3)Inadequate training,insufficient professional ability for biology teachers and testers.(4)Insufficient experimental inquiry ability of students.(5)Lack of effective experimental teaching evaluation mechanism.(6)Insufficient connection of experimental teaching in junior and senior high schools.On the basis of the investigation,in view of the main problems in experimental teaching,this paper selects two classes with the same starting point taught by the author to conduct practical research.Class 13 is the control class,and the experimental teaching activities are not carried out.Class 14 is the experimental class,and the experimental teaching activities are carried out for one month.The test results of the two classes before and after the experiment are tested with independent sample T test,and compare and analyze the influence of the activity interventio n on the cultivation of students' experimental interest and exploration ability.The results show that the well-designed intervention of experimental teaching activities can significantly improve students' experimental interest and scientific inquiry ability,which provide a reference for improving the current situation of biological experimental teaching for senior high school of Chuxiong.In view of the problems reflected in the survey and interview,referring to the relevant literature,combined with the practical research conclusions and the actual teaching situation in Chuxiong,this paper puts forward several suggestions to improve the current situation of experimental teaching:(1)Increase funding and build laboratories,especially the equipment of microscopes and other commonly used instruments;(2)Strengthen the training of biology teachers and testers,with equal emphasis on theory and skills;(3)Flexibly carry out experimental teaching to improve the opening rate of the experiment;(4)Stimulate students' interest through various ways and improve the ability of experiment exploration;(5)Change the teaching evaluation method and increase the experimental evaluation. |
