Investigation On The Development Of Chinese Language Schools In Phnom Penh,Cambodia

The friendship between China and Cambodia goes back to ancient times.Chinese people have long migrated to Cambodia.They have taken root in Cambodia,developing the economy,attaching importance to Chinese language education and establishing Chinese language schools.As the capital of Cambodia,Phnom Penh is a home to the largest number of Chinese residents and the largest number of Chinese-language schools.Chinese schools in Phnom Penh has a history of more than100 years.The schools were forced to suspend its operation due to the war in the middle of the process.Taking the Chinese language and culture schools in Phnom Penh,Cambodia as the research object,this paper studies the deficiencies and advantages of the development status of the Chinese language and culture schools in Phnom Penh,analyzes the causes of the deficiencies and puts forward constructive suggestions and countermeasures.By taking the biggest public Chinese school-Toun Fa and the biggest private Chinese school-Leep Khun in Phnom Penh as examples,we find that Phnom Penh Chinese schools have a perfect teaching system,a mature teaching team and a unified management system.Despite the strong support from the Cambodian government since the resumption of the program,the "half-day" Cambodian language classes have been successfully added on the road of reform and development.With the help of overseas Chinese at home and abroad,overseas Chinese affairs office of the state council,Hanban and other relevant organizations,the Chinese language and culture schools in Phnom Penh have created many favorable conditions for the development of Phnom Penh due to its regional and external advantages.But now Chinese schools in Phnom Penh still exist many problems,such as Chinese schools did not join the Cambodian national education system,funds,shortage of teachers,teaching facilities,lack of proper teaching materials,the lack of communication between Chinese school teaching and management level is differ,resulting in the invisible competition,Chinese entrance exam students of class there are problems,these problems influence the sustainable healthy development of Chinese language schools.Chinese schools in Phnom Penh should strengthen the quality of education,improve the teaching environment,strengthen local teachers' training,directional cultivating talents of Chinese teachers and improve teachers' payment to solve the problem of long-term teaching gap,to strengthen cooperation to improve school-running level,optimizing teaching methods at home and abroad,in cooperation with China related to edit a set of suitable for the truth of the teaching material in Cambodia.For financial support of the government,perfecting the teaching equipment,improve their own quality of running a school,on the basis of the existing continuous reform and innovation,on the way of integrated into the national education system carefully consider the pros and cons,if you want to join the initiative to the Ministry of Education should improve their educational system application,on the way of reform and development of Cambodia for the whole Chinese and overseas Chinese schools construction and development more exemplary role into full play.
