With the development of the times,the school is accelerating the new curriculum reform.Teachers should upgrade the history teaching concept with the times,and strengthen the cultivation of students' historical thinking ability and learning methods.For high school students,map is not only a tool for learning geography,but also an essential teaching resource for learning history.Historical map not only tells the history,but also is a map.It can cultivate students' historical consciousness from a macro perspective,master the context of historical development,and also cultivate students' spatial consciousness.According to the college entrance examination papers from all over the country in the past three years,the historical map is to be tested.Therefore,historical map plays an important role in both theory and practice.Moreover,historical map is an important part of high school history teaching materials,which is of great significance for high school history teaching,but in the actual teaching process,it is still difficult to teach historical map in the school.This paper expounds the dilemma of historical map in senior high school history teaching from three aspects,and takes the middle school of the author's city as the research object.The first part is the statistics,analysis and classification of the maps in the history textbooks of senior high schools,and then the investigation of the application of historical maps in the teaching practice of Changji City.The second part mainly analyzes the application difficulties of the historical map of Changji City in the teaching practice through investigation.The third part is to put forward suggestions for improving the application of historical map in teaching.The main research methods include literature research and interview method and so on.This paper attempts to study the difficulties of the historical map in the history teaching of senior high school,and studies the problems existing in the application ofhistorical maps by taking the teaching practice of Changji City as an example,and puts forward suggestions based on the actual teaching.We hope to improve the local history teaching situation,stimulate students' interest in learning history,implement the new high school history curriculum standard,cultivate students' outlook of history and the core quality of history,provide reference for teaching practice,and optimize high school history teaching.
