Social Work Participation In Rural Targeted Poverty Alleviation Practice Research

The Party and our country anchor poverty alleviation in an important position for the Governance of China.Since the 1980 s,development-oriented poverty alleviation in our country has made enormous achievements.To make up defects of “flooding form” extensive poverty alleviation,improve the pertinence and accuracy of poverty alleviation and ensure poverty alleviation in time,the Party and our country adopt targeted poverty alleviation strategy.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out,we should mobilize the whole Party and the whole society,persist in targeted poverty reduction and poverty alleviation,and pay attention to helping people increase confidence in their own ability to lift themselves out of poverty and see that they can access the education they need to do so.However,social work has unique moral value and practice method,which plays an irreplaceable role in the implementation of targeted poverty alleviation policies.In the specific process,professional personnel and methods of social work are needed to strengthen the pertinence and accuracy of poverty alleviation.As provincial poor village,Z County in Shaoguan City is supported by the Provincial Civil Affairs Department.Local government and supporting units earnestly implement the spirits of “Opinions on Innovating Mechanism to Promote Rural Poverty Alleviation and Development”by the Central Committee.They should keep the orientation of key points in “finding the entry point,arousing the peasants” initiative and cadres going to the countryside to take a lead firmly.With poor villages as the main battlefield and targeted poverty reduction as breakthrough,targeted poverty alleviation practice in “Double-Hundred” social work stations is carried out,which has gained sound achievements and serves as a meaningful exploration for poverty alleviation of the poor.The paper attempts to obtain first-hand material through participatory observation,structural access method,focus group,etc.It explores the strategy of social work in the rural targeted poverty alleviation,and uncovers the problems and achievements in the poverty alleviation work of Z County by analyzing its current situations.Starting from targeted poverty alleviation and management,it evaluates on the effects of poverty alleviation,points out existing problems and discusses the solutions of social work participation to povertyalleviation,so as to improve the pertinence and accuracy.The experience of social work participation in rural targeted poverty alleviation is summarized in order to provide references and suggestions for future work.
