The rapid development of social economy is accompanied by the consumption of a large number of natural resources and the production of solid waste.On the contrary,with the improvement of living standard,people have higher and higher requirements on environmental quality.The comprehensive utilization of waste materials and other solid wastes can not only avoid environmental problems,but also improve the utilization rate of natural resources,so it has important ecological and economic significance.Art curriculum standards for compulsory education emphasizes that art classes in primary and secondary schools should be integrated with environmental education,and art teachers should use cheap and readily available local materials to carry out art teaching,so that art classes can be closely related to students' daily life experience and enhance students' awareness of environmental protection.Although some environmental protection education has been integrated into the art classes of primary and secondary schools in China,the teaching research of combining the use of waste materials as art teaching materials with students' environmental protection practice still needs to be improved.This study discusses how to flexibly use local waste materials as art materials in the art teaching practice of junior high school,successfully embed the awareness of environmental protection,and improve students' environmental behavior.This research consists of five parts.In the introduction,the background,purpose and significance of the topic and the main research methods are described.This paper summarizes the literature on the application of waste materials and environmental education in art teaching at home and abroad.In the text,the first chapter mainly summarizes the general situation of waste materials and its feasibility in the classroom of arts and crafts creation in junior middle school.The second chapter uses questionnaire survey and interview to investigate the art teaching materials of Hainan middle school teachers and students,analyzes the application of materials in the middle school art classroom and the significance and necessity of the implementation of waste materials in the art classroom,and summarizes the appropriate teaching strategies.The third chapter discusses the curriculum design and teaching practice of local waste materials in the middle school arts and crafts creation classroom.Before the classroompractice,the unit teaching design ideas and objectives are determined.Based on the analysis of teaching strategies in the first chapter,coconut shell,a waste material with local characteristics,is determined for teaching.Based on the teaching practice of the unit"treasure" around us--waste coconut shell ",and the excellent works of some students,this paper discusses the evaluation method applicable to the classroom teaching of waste materials.Finally,in the conclusion part,the results of the research are clarified,and the issues to be further discussed in this paper are briefly prospected.It is expected that the connection between local waste materials and intangible cultural heritage art can enhance students' love for local culture on the basis of improving their environmental awareness and practical ability.
