Indonesia is the country with the largest number of Chinese and overseas Chinese in the world.As of 2009,the country had a population of 23376 million and about 10 million Chinese,accounting for about 4% of Indonesia's total population.The 1950 s was the most prosperous period of Indonesian Chinese education.There were at most 1,860 Chinese schools,with nearly 300,000 students.Due to historical reasons,Chinese education in Indonesia has been suspended for about 30 years,and in recent years it has regained vitality and developed rapidly.In October 2018,the author had the honor to go to Hasanuddin University,North Sulawesi,Manado Chinese Teaching Site for one-year Chinese teaching,so I had the opportunity to contact a large number of students from different schools.After investigation and screening,the three private middle schools of Manado independent school(referred to as MIS),SMA / SMP unisten Eben Haezar(referred to as Eben),and SMA Lokon Santo Nikolaus Tomohon(referred to as Loken Middle School)have relatively long development of Chinese teaching.In the course of teaching,the author conducted investigation and analysis of Chinese teaching in these three schools,and found some problems in Chinese teaching in these three schools: first,students,students did not pay enough attention to Chinese learning,non-Chinese students Poor enthusiasm for Chinese language learning;secondly,teachers,Chinese teachers are generally aging,highly mobile,and their own qualities need to be strengthened;in terms of teaching materials,there is a single type of teaching materials,and students do not even have textbooks or use copy materials;Single,lack of fun,etc.Therefore,the author decided to use these three private middle schools as research objects,hoping to reflect the current situation and problems of Chinese teaching in Manado.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research background,research purpose and significance,related literature review,research content and research methods.The second part describes the design of the questionnaire.The distribution and recycling situation also introduces some basic information of the three private middle schools.The third part carries out a multi-angle and comprehensive survey and analysis of the teaching team,teaching objects,classroom teaching,teaching materials and other aspects of Chinese teaching in three private middle schools.Feedback.Chapter 4 summarizes the problems existing in Chinese teaching in these three private middle schools on the basis of previous investigation and analysis,and puts forward corresponding suggestions for these problems.The fifth part is the conclusion part of the article,which summarizes the research of this article,and analyzes the shortcomings in the research.
