The non-uniform distribution of social resources hinders balanced regional development and free flow of society.Intergenerational mobility is an important entry point to explore the phenomenon of unequal opportunities.Research on the changes of intergenerational mobility in education can help to deeply understand the fairness of educational opportunities in China.Trends and characteristics. This article uses the spatial statistics method based on geographic information science, taking the long-term trends and spatial differences of intergenerational flow of education as the entry point, analyzes the temporal and spatial changes of intergenerational mobility scale and structure, and explores individual level education from a microscopic perspective The influence mechanism of level and opportunity acquisition, and the related factors that affect the intergenerational mobility of education from a macro perspective. This paper uses the mixed cross-sectional data of the fifth phase of the China Comprehensive Social Survey(CGSS)and the fourth phase of the China Labor Force Dynamics Survey(CLDS)to first make an overall and regional measurement of the intergenerational flow and decomposition indicators of education based on the education conversion matrix and Fields & OK index.Changes in the scale and structure of intergenerational flows in groups and regions;secondly, analysis of the impact mechanism of individual levels of education and opportunity acquisition in various regions through econometric models;finally, using the statistical advantages of intergenerational order correlation to explore intergenerational education Flow-related factors and regional differences. The study finds that the long-term trend of intergenerational flow of education shows the characteristics of “inverted U-shaped” changes. The growth effect is the main component of the intergenerational flow trend, and the importance of relative position changes in the overall flow continues to increase. In addition, there are significant differences in intergenerational flow of education in different regions of my country. From a micro perspective, the research on the influence mechanism of intergenerational flow of education has different influences on the intergenerational education level and access to opportunities in different regions. From a macro perspective, the research on the influencing factors of intergenerational mobility in education shows that in areas with higher GDP levels, per capita disposable income, urbanization level, population density, and investment in education, intergenerational mobility in education usually has a higher level.Increasing income and inequality in education will reduce the intergenerational mobility of education. While spatial heterogeneity research confirms this conclusion,it is found that the correlation between macro factors in different regions and the intergenerational mobility of education is different. It is recommended to adopt different Countermeasures.Through the study of these issues, this article describes the changing trends, characteristics and causes of the intergenerational flow of education in my country, and provides an empirical basis for reducing the differences in intergenerational flow of education between regions and formulating relevant policies.
