The development of basic education in rural areas in China has been widely concerned.Due to the constraints of economy,transportation,teachers' level and other factors,compared with urban areas,rural basic education still has a large gap.Our country has been trying to support rural basic education,but the development of rural basic education can not be separated from the professional development of rural teachers,how to promote the professional development of rural primary school teachers is particularly important.In the information age of rapid development,the professional development of rural primary school teachers ushered in a new situation.The emergence of information technology brings more possibilities for the professional development of rural primary school teachers.The breakthrough of information technology in time and space provides convenient conditions for the professional development of rural primary school teachers.With the development of educational informationization,the rural primary school teachers get more development platforms and relevant policies.The gap between urban and rural education conditions is rapidly reduced by the popularization of information technology.However,there are still many difficulties for rural primary school teachers to use information technology for professional development.Therefore,it is necessary to understand the current situation of it supporting teachers' professional development in rural areas,find out the problems and explore solutions.This study conducted a questionnaire survey on rural primary school teachers in Northern Shaanxi through the questionnaire star.The results showed that there are mainly the following problems in the process of it supporting the professional development ofrural primary school teachers in Northern Shaanxi: the rural primary school teachers' understanding of the professional development is not clear,and their practice is not effective;the teachers' awareness of it supporting the professional development is not deep,and the information technology terms of rural primary school are not deep The software and hardware facilities need to be improved;the measures taken by schools and relevant departments to promote the professional development of teachers can not really meet the needs of teachers.In view of these problems,the research and analysis believe that there are three main reasons: first,teachers lack of awareness of independent professional development and information literacy;second,schools do not pay enough attention to the cultivation of teachers' information technology ability,the training platform is not perfect and lack of policies to encourage teachers' development;third,the investment in information construction is not enough.Based on these problems and reasons,this study puts forward the following suggestions: first,teachers need to wake up the consciousness of professional development and actively improve their own information literacy;second,schools need to optimize relevant policies and management to improve school information learning conditions;finally,relevant government departments need to increase and optimize investment to build a good information platform for schools.
