Textbooks are an important basis for education and teaching,and are the main tools and channels for learning and mastering knowledge.The Chinese language textbooks for elementary schools have been continuously developed.Up to now,11 sets of textbooks have been updated,and the development process is relatively tortuous.Since the new curriculum reform in 2001,the guiding ideology of "one outline,multiple books" began,all over the country have compiled their own unique textbooks,including the textbooks of the People's Education Edition,the textbooks of the Jiangsu Education Edition and the textbooks of the Beijing Normal University.Due to the different experiences of authors,cultural differences,and relatively different understanding of the Chinese language curriculum standards in primary schools,the quality of the textbooks appears to be in full bloom.In 2011,the Ministry of Education re-edited a set of elementary school textbooks "Newcomers' Compulsory Education Textbook",which is now the "Ministry Edition" textbook.The textbook was fully operational in the fall of 2019.In the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the background,content and format of the Chinese textbooks for elementary school editions have been constantly changing,so this study seeks to research,explore and summarize the complex historical data of the development of eleven sets of textbooks over the past 70 years.The development experience and laws of the textbooks are developed to further clarify the mission and social responsibility of the primary school Chinese textbooks and provide a useful reference for later learning.However,since the primary school Chinese textbooks have been more and more complicated in the past 70 years,the workload is large.This article selects only the first volume of eleven sets of primary school Chinese textbooks for analysis and research.This article mainly conducts research from three aspects: First,the developmentprocess of the Chinese textbooks for the primary education in the 70 years since the founding of the People's Republic of China,which can be roughly divided into two stages and six periods: The first stage is the pre-compulsory education stage,including the period of adapting old textbooks(1949-1956),co-editing period(1956-1966),local self-editing period(1966-1978),general textbook period(1978-1986);the second stage is compulsory education,including the period of diversified exploration of textbooks(1986-2016)and the new period of compiling textbooks(2016-2019);followed by the analysis of the first set of primary school Chinese textbooks of the People's Education Edition to the eleventh set of primary school Chinese textbooks as an example,mainly based on the background of the textbooks,The use situation and the text of the textbook are analyzed in detail,and the achievements and deficiencies of each textbook are summarized.Finally,the horizontal and vertical changes in the development of the eleven sets of Chinese language teaching materials for primary school are compared and analyzed.On this basis,the following development experience is obtained: the compilation of textbooks requires a professional team,and the country needs mainstream textbooks;the content of the textbooks must be selected,the nature of the discipline and the objectives of the curriculum must be clear;the compilation of textbooks needs to be scientific and in accordance with objective laws;The status of elementary Chinese as a basic subject cannot be changed.On this basis,the following rules of development were obtained: the requirements of the primary school syllabus were continuously implemented,and the teaching materials were compiled as needed;the Chinese textbook system was continuously improved to construct a scientific Chinese theme;the textbooks were fully utilized to continuously promote the serialization of teaching materials.
