Every nation has heroes,heroes have extraordinary outstanding qualities,and have a positive and far-reaching impact on society,respected by people.The heroic characters in the Chinese textbook are the characters chosen under the ideology of a certain country,the purpose of education and the standard of Chinese curric ulum,which have a profound influence on the world outlook,outlook on life and values of the educatee,and can also guide the life choice of the educatee.China and the United States are world powers,and the two countries have great differences in ideology and cultural tradition,and the heroic characters in the Chinese textbooks of the two countries must have their own characteristics and similarities and differences,which is also the entry point of this paper.This paper takes the characters of heroes in the middle school teaching materials of the two countries as the research object,and chooses the Chinese language of junior high school compiled by the Ministry of Education and the American language of the Chinese Women's Publishing House as the comparative research.This study first read through two sets of Chinese teaching materials,then use the literature method to sort out the data,study the previous research on the characters and heroic characters in the Chinese teaching materials,and then establish the noun concept and research framework of this paper.Then the characters in the two sets of teaching materials are analyzed and identified,and the hero image is selected.According to the research framework,the number of the hero characters in the two sets of teaching materials,the external image and the inner image are counted and analyzed resp ectively,and then the external and inner image are deeply contrasted and studied.Finally,the enlightenment of the hero characters in the two sets of teaching materials is summarized.The full text is divided into five parts: the introduction part;the first chapter-the statistics and analysis of the heroic characters in the two sets of Chinese teaching materials;the second chapter-the contrast and analysis of the heroic characters in the two sets of Chinese teaching materials;the third chapter-the enlightenment brought by the contrast study of the heroic characters in the two sets of Chinese teaching materials;and the fourth chapter-conclusion.Through statistics,analysis,comparison and research,it can be found that the number of male heroes selected in the two sets of Chinese textbooks is far higher than that of female heroes,the selection of heroes is not strong in the contemporary nature of the two aspects is consistent,the difference is that the most frequent embodied moral qualities of the heroes in the two sets of textbooks are different,China is "resolute and brave ",the United States is " the pursuit of independence,freedom and democracy and equality ",the Ministry of Education unified organization of the junior high school "Chinese" selected heroes more extensive than the "American language ",but also in the heroic characters span more than the " American language ",and the "American language" in the era,but the "American language" in the choice of heroes in the region,and the image of heroes is more full and full.These contrasting results reveal that the teaching materials should pay attention to improving the imbalance of gender proportion and strengthen the contemporary nature.Chinese teachers should guide students to break through the shackles,interpret the real and individualized heroic characters,carry out the theme teaching,and extend the legacy of heroic characters in the teaching process.Students should broaden their horizons,respect heroes and learn heroes.In the same and different characters of the two sets of textbooks,we can see the advantages and disadv antages of the two sets of textbooks.
