With the popularization of new curriculum reform in secondary schools,quality education and the cultivation of students' comprehensive ability have gradually become a focus of education and teaching.For county secondary schools,the traditional “teaching-acceptance” method cannot keep up with the times and it cannot meet the needs of student development in all directions.Therefore,it is urgent to revise teachers' teaching concept,improve students' comprehensive quality and develop students' learning ability.A new teaching model,“three procedures about a doubt and three-step exploring”(“TPDTSE”),came into being along with the development of secondary education.This new teaching method is composed of several sections in which students are deeply involved.They include setting problem-individual exploring,solving problem-cooperative exploring,and wondering problem-re-exploring.Students' conscious activity can be improved based on the concept of problem-center and exploration throughout classroom teaching.This new teaching model originated from No.1 senior middle school of Xixia,and it has achieved good achievement in this school.I have attempted successfully to use the “TPDTSE” model in Chemistry course in a countysecondary school.The practice objects were Grade 1 students in No.1Middle School of Jiahe County,Chenzhou City.The availability and applicability of this model were investigated.Firstly,a prophase investigation was carried out on the basic situations of teaching,chemistry-learning and new curriculum reform performance.Secondly,some teaching cases for different types of lessons,such as new lesson,review lesson and exercise lesson,were designed and established based on relevant theories and the “TPDTSE” model.Finally,these teaching cases were employed in the teaching practice of Chemistry course and the application effect of this new model was analyzed.Nearly122 students derived from my two classes served as the research objects.Two kinds of teaching models,i.e.the “TPDTSE” model and the traditional model,were investigated contrastively in the practice process.The study effects using different models were analyzed based on students' responses in course,students' test scores and the questionnaire results.The research reveals that the application of the “TPDTSE” model could improve the study interest of students to a large extent and increase effectively Chemistry test scores.In addition,the habit of active learning,the ability of setting problem,solving problem and wondering problem as well as innovative thinking were gradually developed.
