In order to promote social progress and students' own growth,the Ministry of Education has clearly put forward the cultivation of students' core literacy.In 2017,newly-issued Senior Geography Curriculum Standards also pointed out this major task.As an important part of geography core literacy,the level of comprehensive thinking is not only related to students' learning effect,but also affects their long-term development.Middle school students' thinking is growing rapidly,the cultivation of comprehensive thinking should seize this critical opportunity.However,the issue has not received enough attention.The characteristics of regional geography are highly compatible with the cultivation of comprehensive thinking.Therefore,the value of regional geography in cultivating comprehensive thinking is self-evident.Through the literature method,this paper has mastered the domestic and foreign research progress on geographic core literacy and comprehensive thinking in junior middle school.And explained the basic concepts of geographic core literacy,comprehensive thinking and regional geography.Under the guidance of stage theory of cognitive development,constructivism theory and system theory,this paper has carried out in-depth research on the cultivation of geographic comprehensive thinking in junior high school.In teaching practice,the observation method was used to discover problems and determine the direction of investigation.Then,the interview method and questionnaire survey method were used to carry out a detailed investigation on junior middle school students and geography teachers,so as to have an in-depth understanding of the current situation of the cultivation of comprehensive thinking in junior middle school geographical teaching.The study found that the current situation is not optimistic at the overall level of comprehensive thinking.In terms of gender,the performance of boys in comprehensive thinking is significantly better than that of girls.In regional terms,the performance of the students in the urban area is better than that in the rural area.There are some problems in teachers' evaluation of comprehensive thinking,such as insufficient attention and improper evaluation method.Some teachers' ideas and teaching methods have a negative influence on the cultivation of comprehensive thinking.In addition,students also have problems such as insufficient attention to geography study and poor learning methods.Based on the current situation of the cultivation of comprehensive thinking in geographical teaching in junior high school,this paper studied and referred to the newly-issued Senior Geography Curriculum Standards,and determined the basic principles to be followed in the cultivation of comprehensive thinking in junior high school by centering on the teaching content of regional geography in junior high school.According to the three dimensions of comprehensive thinking,the basic contents of cultivation were put forward.Then,based on the basic principles and contents,the teaching strategies of comprehensive thinking training were proposed in regional geographical teaching in junior middle school: Make the teaching objective clear to lead the training of thinking;Create a teaching situation to stimulate interest in inquiry learning;Carry out cooperative learning to produce a collision of thoughts;Construct the image system to perfect the cognitive structure;Make mind maps to clarify the context of knowledge;Carry out intensive training to improve the quality of thinking;Pay attention to the test in class,and promote the training of comprehensive thinking through evaluation.
