Since “the Belt and Road” initiative proposed in 2013,it has not only brought about market expansion, but also brought an increase in the demand of human resources and the interaction between labor markets.Labor force participation rate affects the needs of a country's working population to contribute to the country's economy and it immediate impacts the labor market activeness of country. The analysis of the labor participation rates of countries along “the Belt and Road” is helpful to understand the labor market of countries, enabling enterprises to choose labor resources suitable for their own development needs, and provide a reference for China to increase labor force participation rate.Based on the ILO and World Bank databases, the article selects the data of countries along the “Belt and Road” from 2000 to 2018,and analyzes the status of labor participation rates in the countries along the Belt and Road.It was found that the age pattern of labor participation rates in countries is a stable inverted “U” shape, and there are obvious gender, regional and income differences.A fixed-effect model is built to analyze the important factors and influences that promote or restrict the labor participation rate. The regression results show that the per capita GDP and labor participation rate show a "U" curve relationship. The old-age dependency ratio, life expectancy, and college enrollment rate can acceleration labor force participation rate. The urbanization rate, labor tax rate, child dependency ratio, industrial structure, and population density have a significant inhibitory effect on the overall labor participation rate.Among them, there are gender and income differences in urbanization rate,old-age dependency ratio, birth rate, college enrollment rate, population density, and policy democracy. The promotion effect of urbanization rate and population density on labor participation rate is mainly reflected in the lower stage of economic development. And the promotion effect of dependency ratio, and education level on labor participation rate is mainly reflected in the higher stage of economic development.Above all, this article puts forward opinions on the selection of cooperation areas by Chinese enterprises, and adjustments about the measures to improve the LFPR of china.
