Scientific and technological innovation and pioneering breakthroughs are the commanding heights of comprehensive national strength.The competition of talents and human quality has become the basic content of the competition of comprehensive national strength,and innovation ability is one of the abilities that talents should have in the new century.The concept of maker education is innovation,practice,cooperation and sharing,and it cultivates students' creativity.It has aroused wide concern.Since entering the field of domestic education,maker education appears in schools of all kinds and at all levels,which has promoted the development of maker education in China.In recent years,maker education has been one of the research hotspots of education researchers.The research institutions are mainly normal universities,and the research covers a wide range of subjects,including theory and practice,each school stages from university to primary school.Although some achievements have been made in the research of maker education,it is not only necessary to provide students with hands-on opportunities,but also to guide the growth of students' ability through appropriate methods.As the enabling methodology of maker education,design thinking has been recognized by many researchers for its positive role in cultivating innovative awareness,innovative thinking and innovative ability,and has achieved success in business,art,architecture and other fields,creating many miracles in business and social fields.On the basis of literature analysis,this study analyzes the existing teaching model of maker education,combines design thinking with maker education,and designs the maker education activity model based on design thinking.The activity is divided into six steps: problem situation,problem definition,conception,idea determination,test/production,reflection/development,etc.The operation process of the activity is analyzed from the perspective of students and teachers.This model takes students as center and focuses on teamwork and cyclic iteration.In order to test the effectiveness of the model,this study selected two classes,the control class and the experimental class,to conduct a comparative experimental study through the analysis of questionnaire and interview.It is expected to play a positive role in improving students' innovation ability.The experimental results show that the maker educational activity model based on design thinking,the traditional model combination of speaking and practicing can all improve students' creativity level and self-efficacy,but the effect of this research model is more significant.Through the interview,it is found that this research model is favored by students and recognized by teachers,who are willing to use this model in future maker activities and teaching.This model has certain practicality and effectiveness,and is applied to maker education activities,for the implementation of maker education activities of the school to provide a certain degree of reference value.
