The course of compulsory education geography is a very practical course.The course standard of Compulsory Education Geography(2011 edition)advocates the teaching of geography practice activities,stipulates that the local geography is a compulsory content,and requires that in the teaching of the local geography,at least one field trip or social investigation practice should be arranged.The practical activities of geography survey are the continuation and supplement of geography classroom teaching,and play an important role in the cultivation of students` core quality of geography subject,especially in the cultivation of geography practical ability.This paper takes the design of practical activities based on junior middle school geography survey as the research object,and takes the curriculum resources of local geography of Yijinhuoluo town,Ordos City as the research content,based on the 14 typical cases of geographical survey practice which are suitable for junior middle school students,selected from the design of numerous geographical survey practice activities,this paper uses the methods of Literature Review,case analysis,field investigation and action research,it provides teaching materials and activity cases for geography teachers,and enriches the curriculum resources of practical activities such as land survey in the town of Ordos City.The following research conclusions are drawn: First,it is concluded that the practical activities suitable for junior middle school geography survey can be divided into four categories: Natural Resources Survey,human geography survey,environmental protection survey and socio-economic survey,based on the curriculum resources of rural geography in Azhen town,YijinhuoluoCounty,15 subjects of junior middle school geography survey were selected.Secondly,it puts forward the composition of the practice activity design of geographical survey in junior middle school: six parts of investigation background description,investigation target,investigation content,investigation process,investigation summary and evaluation,investigation practice activity expansion and reflection.At the same time,it puts forward the general strategy of designing the practical activities of geography survey in junior middle school: carefully select the practical activities of geography survey in junior middle school(according to the curriculum standards and teaching materials,relying on the typical local resources);Accurately grasp the objectives of practical activities(based on the characteristics of students,reflecting the ability of geographical practice);Focus on the process of practical activities(according to the scale of activities to choose different ways of organization,according to the content of the activities to choose different methods of investigation,the most important is to highlight the students' subjectivity and initiative in the activities);Attach importance to the evaluation of practical activities(the diversity of evaluation methods and the diversity of evaluation subjects).Thirdly,four practical cases of geographical survey in junior middle school based on the curriculum resources of local geography in Azhen town of Yijinhuoluo county are designed,they are:“The origin of the place name of hometown” in the category of human geography investigation,“the influence of the construction of Dongkangyi” in the category of social economic investigation on the life style and quality of life of the residents in Azhen,” the influence of the production activities of the Yijinhuoluo people on the local climate” in the category of environmental protection investigation,and the practice of the investigation on the construction of the ecological water system around the city of “three rivers and two lakes” in Azhen.And twocases,“the origin of place names in my hometown” and “the impact of the construction of the urban core area of 'Dongkangyi' on the lifestyle and quality of life of the residents of AZhen”,were implemented,based on the fact that the curriculum standard originates from the local area,the subject of investigation practice activity is carefully selected,the scientific and reasonable design is an important basis for effective implementation,and the process of implementation is tamped down,focusing on the cultivation of students' geographical practice ability and other activities.
