With the development of the Internet and the widespread application of information technology,great changes have taken place in our study,work and life world.Bits are like a torrent,and they constantly shuttle between various devices to meet people's demand for information.The information environment we are in has become complicated and complicated.A lot of information spewed out from mailboxes,software,academic websites,etc.,as much as drinking water with a hydrant,so breathless.When people's information processing ability can no longer keep up with the demand for information processing,the phenomenon of information overload occurs.This undoubtedly poses a huge challenge to the information processing capabilities of information users.As a generation growing up on the Internet,contemporary college students are more fully aware of all the conveniences brought by digital life,and they are more deeply troubled by information overload.Therefore,it is urgent to improve the level of college students' Bit Literacy.This article uses empirical research methods,with college students in Hohhot as the survey object,combined with literature research methods and questionnaire survey methods,to study the existing problems of college students 'Bit Literacy and how to improve college students' Bit Literacy.This article is divided into the following sections:The introduction part discusses the research background of this article,and analyzes the research significance of college students' Bit Literacy from the perspective of theory and practice.It summarizes theresearch status of college students' Information Literacy,college students' Media Literacy and college students' Bit Literacy.The first part summarizes the definition of bit,and theoretically expounds the concept of bit literacy.The four components of Bit Literacy have the ability to manage information,to create information,to select information and to information.The filtering capabilities are explained.The connection between Bit Literacy,Information Literacy and Media Literacy is explained.The second part mainly analyzes the investigation results of this empirical study.First,the survey process is described in terms of the survey object,survey purpose,questionnaire preparation and determination,questionnaire format and questionnaire issuance and recovery.The data analysis of the survey results includes six aspects:rich information contact behavior,common information overload perception;Information management ability;possess basic information creation ability;be more confident in one's own information selection ability;perform poorly on information filtering ability;have less understanding of research topics.The third part,based on the above survey results,analyzes and analyzes the four aspects of bit literacy among college students in Hohhot:lack of bit literacy awareness,disconnection of information acquisition ability and information management ability,poor targeting of information processing and information judgment The ability is low,and the reasons are analyzed.The main reasons are: the demand for information tends to be soft,and the requirements for its own information ability are insufficient;the excessive inflow of information and the lack of timeliness of management;the limited training of universities and the lack of self-discipline in information activities;the complex information environment,Lack of effective supervision and guidance.The fourth part is based on the previous questions about the problems of Bit Literacy among college students in Hohhot and thecauses of the problems.It gives targeted knowledge about improving Bit Literacy,improving information acquisition and management capabilities,and college information.Ability-related courses and four corresponding countermeasures to create a good information environment.
