With the continuous implementation of the new curriculum reform,in the elementary education stage of the values and scientific concept,the positive role of the traditional teaching mode in cultivating the interest in science education for primary school students and promoting the scientific spirit has gradually subsided.In recent years,in the global science education The world has a wave of "STEAM" courses,and our STEAM education is also blooming everywhere.STEAM(Science,Technology,Engineering,Art,Mathmatics)is the integration of science,technology,engineering,art and mathematics.It emphasizes the multi-dimensional,three-dimensional exploration practice,comprehensive analysis and problem-solving ability in the process of studying the objective world,highlights the cultivation of innovative thinking,and allows students to fully understand the world in three dimensions.At the same time,the author believes that the Capstone concept can also be applied to the curriculum reform of primary school science in China.Its core concept: library-school cooperation,student-centered,teamwork,integrated knowledge,results orientation,continuous improvement,innovative practice,etc.can all contribute to the development of China's primary school science teaching model.Therefore,based on the literature research method,interview method and questionnaire survey method,this study understands and analyzes the relevant teaching theories and the status quo of science teaching in primary schools,and constructs the STEAM education model based on the Capstone concept.Through the experimental research method,the teaching effect of the STEAM education model based on Capstone concept in the science class of primary school is verified.This study confirms its feasibility through practical research,provides a more effective method for primary science classroom teaching,promotes the reform of primary school science teaching mode,and further optimizes teaching.At the same time,the STEAM education model based on the Capstone concept provides reference for the practice of classroom teaching in China,and also makes up for the gap in the theoretical research and practical research of the science subject in primary school.
